For anyones who interested, the record stands as 7-5 under M. Lewis, with the Bengals in the lead. So again, it's a huge game which we should all be pretty pumped for.
I'm going to stir the pot a little and point out that the record is 2-0 under John Harbaugh.

One thing any long-standing Bengals fan will know is how we play, which is always at our best when we're A.) the underdogs & b.) against a very tough opponent. Case and point, the Packers and Steelers games from just this year. Cleveland is always a tough game for us, no matter what. I don't know why, it just is. I won't try and deny the fact that we played sloppy this past week though.
That's how it is with divisional rivals though. You'll have a bottom feeder of the nfl that can barely win a game, but when they face divisional rivals, they can bring it.

Now, I have a question for you: aren't the Bengals usually underdogs in just about any given game?

Didn't do my homework but i think we lead the league in first downs also, which is (was) ridiculous for a Ravens offense. Dudes can move the ball.

Yes, 26.5 first downs/game - almost 2/game ahead of #2, New England.

Also, 2nd overall in 3rd down pct., at 51%, a critical stat.

Interestingly, Miami is #1... Miami??!!

Fun fact, also a noteworthy one I didn't know about. I won't lie, we're severely pressured in this game. At Balt, with a loss last week to the Pats. It's going to be rough.

This is very true. But I'm also pointing out the Bengals/Packers game in Week 2. Granted, the Packs aren't what they were expecting to be by everyone, but we handily beat them. I say that because we even gave them two TDs due to interceptions. It was a terrible game for us, penalties all over the board. But it was still a game that even if we made 1/3 less of the mistakes we did, it would've been a shut out.

Sadly, yes. But thats according to analysts, which, and lets be honest, is all about playing favorites. Green Bay was across the board for a win, as was Pitt (maybe one or two picked Cinci). They don't look at the game, just the numbers. Which isn't always the case as I'm sure fans here know from their own experiences. It just adds more fuel to ANY teams fire when they're the underdog.

I was actually talking about the Browns. They're able to bring it in divisional games against the Bengals despite being perennial bottom feeders..

Regardless of tomorrow's game, the Ravens are going to the Super Bowl. I don't care what anyone says about we've beaten the Chiefs and Browns and lost to the only good team we've played. Here we come Miami!

I don't know why there's a tremendous amount of, I think, undeserved respect for Leon Hall, people are viewing him as if he is elite. Our very own Mark Clayton torched him in the last meeting between these teams, and credit can't be fully given to Hall in the first four games.

Broncos: Not the most high-potent offense in the league, guaranteed double coverage on Brandon Marshall, hence his less-than-spectacular performance

Packers: Left side of the OL was manhandled by Antwan Odom, no opportunities for Rodgers to look downfield for Greg Jennings

Steelers: Santonio Holmes has had one good game this year, Bengals were loading up against the pass because Steelers run game couldn't produce anything that game

Browns: Braylon Edwards (league-leader in dropped passes the last few years) probably wasn't even trying; Massaquoi got the better of Hall on a few passes

I think Leon will have a tough time against us this week, and I absolutely cant WAIT to see Oher at LT shutting down Odom. I look for Mark Clayton to bounce back this game as well. Is it sunday yet? :bananallama:

If the Bengals play (one dimensional) football sunday, it will be over really fast. I dont know much about their O-Line. What I do know is-they arent gonna run on us! That will obviously give them a 1way street of passing. I dont see us losing unless we get Trigger Happy again, Trigger Happy with No (Heap)!

Hi, another Bengals fan here. Before I say anything, I'm very jealous of the mentality of the board. Everyone seems to be very civil, which is rare on the Cinci boards sadly :(

First off, this is going to be a huge game for both teams. I don't personally think it will be a shutout of either of ours, as in the past its usually been pretty close. For anyones who interested, the record stands as 7-5 under M. Lewis, with the Bengals in the lead. So again, it's a huge game which we should all be pretty pumped for.

One thing any long-standing Bengals fan will know is how we play, which is always at our best when we're A.) the underdogs & b.) against a very tough opponent. I won't try and deny the fact that we played sloppy this past week though.

I see a lot of good match ups. Flacco is a huge threat, its incredibly impressive what he's done in such a short time. Odom will have his hands full with the Ravens O-line as well. I'm not sure who Leon Hall who will be on this week, but when it comes to passing, whoever is unfortunate enough to have him, they will not see the ball.

Defense, I really don't need to say anything about the Ravens D haha. Its one of, if not the best, in the league. Thats not based on numbers, just from watching over the years. It all depends on how our offense plays. Passing is preferred, as anyone will tell you against Baltimore and thats our real strength. We'll see how that pans out.

Anywho, as a Bengals fan and our determination this year, I'm gonna go with a win for us.

28 - 21

Regardless, whoever wins this game will take first place. And if we're so fortunate, Bengals will be 3-0 in our division, which is HUGE. Very very key game.

Not in a million years. Sorry, but M&T is a graveyard for "starry-eyed" opponents looking for a "quick rep." The dish we serve HERE is better described as a "quick death."
