I'm die-hard purple and it hurts to see the club bein embarassed week after week however as a fan I take the good with the terrible.

I remember the superbowl and winning the division last season so now here's the adversity. I feel so bad for McNair and just maybe

the "air" is gone but I see that he is trying hard or perhaps too hard. Although Billick has been good for the franchise I question if he

is doing what's best for the team right now. I will not blame McNair because with injury and age all skills fade. It is the coaches job

to be held accountable when the team is not winning or correcting mistakes. If Billick sticks with "ground" McNair at this point he will

suffer the same fate as that Orioles manager who thought Baez was a closer. Go Ravens

Man all of this is a bunch of BS, Mcnair rarely have any time when he does drop back to throw. I mean look at the results last year, there wasnt a soul to say bench him, Look at the play calling it is garbage, put the man in the shotgun so he can let his nuts hang and see the dam field. I mean if you down with this team you got to be down with em in the good and the bad times. NO NEED TO BASH "MAC" RIGHT NOW HE NEED THE FANS TO STICK WITH HIM SO HOPEFULLY WE CAN TURN THIS THING AROUND AND GET TO THE PLAYOFFS AND MAKE SOME NOISE. STEVE IS GOING TO GET IT DONE, JUST WATCH WHAT I TELL YOU, IT STARTS NEXT WEEK WITH CLEVELAND.

Okay,I'm gonna watch Steve "GET IT DONE"! Only thing is,I'm not very convinced. And,that's what was said previously.Nobody's "BASHING" Mcnair, here. Take your blinders off,be a realist. This EMBARRASSING two/three yard passing attack's not the answer.PLAYOFFS...PLAYOFFS,you kiddin' me?!!! PLAYOFFS! We'll be lucky to win ONE more game, this season. With the numerous injuries, along with an aging team,PLAYOFFS aren't really looking too promising,in the near future. It's been a long season, and it's only gonna get MUCH longer. This PURPLE ship, needs a new Captain!!!

Forgive me if this sounds a little rude but I think you are in denial just like Steve McNair and Brian Billick. Baltimore blitzed Carson Palmer and Big Ben constantly and they found ways to make time. Thats what an NFL QB has to do.The oline hasnt played great but McNair's short comings are on him or rather the fact that his body just cant get it done. Even when there is no pressure, this man finds a way to screw up. When he fumbled in the second half, not a single person touched him, he just dropped the ball. As for his great year last year, 16 td passes and 13 pics is only great by Baltimore standards because we are not used to having a mediocre QB, we usually have horrible ones. Mike Vick had 4 more passing tds and the same amount of picks and he was bashed about how bad of a passer he is all last season. Dont kidd yourself, McNair helped by giving confidence to this team and not losing the game for us. He was not that big of a playmaker. I have seen all I need to see from McNair to know that its over for him, we have two young guys that we need to give a shot, so we can see if QB is something we need to invest a high draft pick in.

I always stand by our team and thats why I say put Boller in, he can at least score a TD. McNair has been turning the ball over when he doesn't need too. INTS can be forgivin espescially when you score a TD to offset them but the fumbles are uncalled for. McNair should have had that ball tucked instead of running with a passing grip on the ball thats a high school mistake.

BRING BACK BOLLER!

Mcnair can't move, he cant take a hit, he cant throw the deep ball, and all of his passes are between 3 and 7 yards. The Ravens and Mcnair have the fewest pass play attempts over 20 yards in the league. If you have a quarterback that you cant throw the ball with then what option do you have? Sure the O-line has been banged up this year, but Mcnair isnt the only one getting pressured, he just cant survive anymore. Billick is going to keep running Willis over and over and over, then when you throw 5 yard pass plays you have very little chance for yards after the catch. No defense has to be scared of a deep play because we never take the shots. All the oppositions defence has to do is crowd the box and cover anything shorter than 20 yards and we arent going anywhere.

Maybe after a year of getting advice and watching Mcnair, Boller can make better choices. We all know he has a good arm, he can move, he can take a hit, at least it gives us a few more options. Anything is better than Mcnair right now.

BRING BACK BOLLER! NOW!

heres what i like about boller.....if he throws a pick...atleast he makes up for it by taking our team down the field and score quickly...but mcnair he could take up 2 a whole quarter and he ends up scoring a field goal.....boller has more touchdowns then mcnair and hes played less than half as many games than mcnair

I found this article a few days ago. It kind of put things into perspective. I know that many players within the NFL take pain killers for a multitude of reasons/ailments, but this is really sad. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Baltimore sports through and through, and I'm not placing the blame solely on McNair, but enough is enough. If you have to rely on painkillers to this extent...maybe, just maybe...you shouldn't be allowed to play any longer. At first I thought it was a joke...

^^ That IS a joke.

If you look at the rest of the articles, the site itself is a satirical news site.

There's a fake article about how the Ravens "made a mistake in drafting Troy Smith" and supposedly "planned on releasing him" that very afternoon. And Troy Smith is quoted about how maybe he shouldn't "wear [his] Heisman trophy around [his] neck all the time."

Billick isnt even smart enough to put the ball in his best offensive players hands. The Browns and the Bengals have two of the worst rushing defenses in the league and when we played them McGahee didnt touch the ball more then 15 or 16 times. Something is wrong with that. So, what if you are down by a touchdown. 3 and outs because you cant complete pass plays doesnt help keep the ball out of the other teams hands. Especalliay if your 34 year old QB cant even hold onto the ball.
