Week 4 – Baltimore Ravens At New England Patriots

1,909 posts in this topic

I don't blame Clayton for this, watching that offensive playcalling in the second half was like watching the old Billick offense. Conservative, conservative, conservative.

You have to throw a ball past the first down marker you want first downs sometimes.

Well all of us in the You Pick Em thread just lost a point this week. At least it was a well fought game and it came down to the wire. I am hoping for the Ravens that we learn from it and bring our A game back to Baltimore for the Bengals next week.

First off, the last pass, was not in the end zone. Open your eyes, and pay attention.

Second, the "drop" in the endzone was not his fault. Even Mason doesn't reel 'em all in when he has a corner on his back. Grow up, get a life, and stop riding Clayton into the mud.

Pay attention-HE SAID REDZONE NOT ENDZONE!

Amazing, Clayton drops two passes in the redzone.

Oh who cares dont talk about clayton hes a great wr worth the 1st round pick i mean when you draft a first round player you expect them to help you lose right ?

No, why blame Clayton for letting the ball bounce off his chest? I agree, let's keep making excuses for our 1st round bust.

Joe thank you for your presense its not ur fault we lost this game
I was almost hoping for a QB keeper on that 4th down. Probably wouldn't have worked, but it was a nice idea.

5 for 45 is breaking out? Interesting logic there.

Joe was throwing those balls too hard out there all day. How many passes did we see zip through people's hands and being near picks? At least 6 or 7.

Clayton haters are way too harsh on Clayton. You expect him to catch every catch thrown to him, no matter what position he's in, where he's at on the field, or what kind of coverage is on him. Not every incomplete pass is HIS fault. Sometimes defensive backs, you know, do their job and break up passes. Get over yourselves, and give the man some breathing room. He's a good receiver, just not number one material (right now). And I would not be surprised if Washington moved up to #2. Not because of how Clayton is playing or not playing, but because of how well Washington IS playing.

Joe had a beautiful last drive. Too bad Clayton choked hard
We took a page right out of Pittsburgh's book last year on that drive. We had this, but this is what happens when your #2 receiver sucks.

Excuse me while I start a "Let's trade for Boldin" thread.

the playcalling was not great but it was great when it mattered and we had every right to take that game even with the d being less than stellar.
so sick of people apologizing and making excuses for clayton not getting things done.
he makes a few catches and everyone says oh man hes awesome and this is why we took him.
then on the easiest route of the day where his defender falls down behind him he forgot to do the one thing that he makes tons of money doing which is simply catch the dang ball.
instead worrying about doing a spin move which wasnt needed since he was deep enough for the 1st on his route

Well, at least it's Clayton's last year in Baltimore.
You really need to get a life and grow up. You're acting silly and immature. It is not Clayton's last year in Baltimore. Chris Carr, maybe. Mark Clayton, no.

How about you coach a team and show us how much you know about professional football? Or perhaps play Wide Receiver and show you know the in and outs of the position better then Clayton. Until then, settle down and stop acting like a fool when it comes to Clayton.

not breaking out by saying that he had alotta yardage .. thatds the problem too many ppl focused on stats ta presume wether or not that player is a good athlete or not ... AND AS FAR AS CLAYTON ...i meant he would come up with sum key catches in the 2nd half ,... unfortunantly he couldn't pull in the last one

Stop making excuses for him. There was NO excuse for what he just did.

Yeah because Anquan Boldin is being so much more productive than Clayton this year, right?

Too harsh on Clayton?! Sorry but when he drops one touchdown and one catch to lose the game THAT HITS HIM RIGHT IN THE NUMBERS.. I think we have a right to be harsh on him.

Those drops by Clayton very well could have just cost us a home game in the playoffs, if not home-field advantage throughout. I am disgusted right now.
