Who Ya 'fraid Of?

29 posts in this topic

Just curious. Which player have you faced who concerns you the most? I'm guessing to get a lot of Peyton Mannings, but you can also pick a teams defense or even an entire O-Line/running game if you wish.

As a Steelers fan......well, there's always a pucker factor when we play you guys (as well as the Patriots), but I'm going with the Ravens D. Suggs is the one guy who jumps immediately to mind with regards to causing problems for us.

I think Freeny still gives JO nightmares.

I didn't see that entire game so I didn't realize Freeny had a good game. That bad eh?

It was the last 2 or 3 games he gave him fits
Ya know, Ray Ray has made some nice plays; Ed Reed has never really made a huge impact in our games for some reason (knock on wood) and Ngata seems like he'll be a issue from here on out, but Suggs..... He always seems to hurt us on plays that either we really need, or that look as though they may have been back breakers. lol, I was so bummed when the Ravens kept him. But with that said, I would have been bummed if Ray Lewis left. It wouldn't have been the same.

Patrick Willis would give me some concerns, whenever we end up playing the 49ers. Such a great middle linebacker, and still young. Hell, the whole 49ers defense is becoming pretty solid.

It's not really a person...but spiders....they freak the **** out of me.

Harrison is always a nuisance. Peyton definitely. Giants Offensive Line. Brady Quinn's big chin. Chris Johnson. Phil Dawson with his miracle kicks. And flags...yellow ones precisely.

Umm, just to be clear: "Flags?" or towels? j/k

OT: No issue with Spiders. Snakes on the other hand are a different story.

Chris Johnson.......Troy lit him up inside the 20 on one drive and on the next one that dude avoided the same thing from happening with a cut back alllllllllll the way back around to the opposite side of the field and I swear he outran his own shadow. Lightning fast! He ran about 90 yards for a gain of 40 and he did it in about 5 seconds.

Flags. Not towels. Towels dry you. How could you be afraid of that? Even if they are yellow towelies.

Snakes are cool. Spiders will crawl in your mouth when sleeping. Nasty ****es. Not as nasty as cocroaches though. Had some of those in my apartment when I lived inside the baltimore city lines.

I remember that play. He's fast.
I might as well throw Philip Rivers out there now. Boy lit us up and can do it again. Best of luck with him next week.

Oh my.....screw JO, I'M still having nightmares of watching Freeney blow through both JO and Heap combined as if they were a turnstile.

In Ogden's defense, this was very late in his career, and Freeney was at his peak, but still....

The Steelers and Giants front 7, especially Harrison/Woodley and Osi/Tuck. Fortunately, we don't have to face the Giants twice every season. Definitely Peyton, he seems to carve us up like a Thanksgiving turkey. The fast RB's, such as Johnson and Sproles seem to give us fits too. I guess after week 2, I'd have to add Rivers to the list.

I would have to go with P. Manning and Holmes. Last year I just knew on 3rd and long Holmes would alter his route to get open and earn 30+ more yac, kept me on the edge of my seat thats for sure. Also, I think Manning has this deep burning hatred for us and wants to crush us everytime. He could play the Bengals even if they had the best ever secondary and suck but if he were to play us with that same secondary its like lights on all the sudden.

We haven't played him yet, but AD scares me.

edit: oh and Big Ben. That guy gets magical against us.

I'm going to say Adrian Peterson. If there's a running back who is going to break 100+ yards on us, I think it will be him. (Even though Chris Johnson was painfully close before he got injured)

Not looking to invite trolls, but...

This article is amusing, and sad:

"The Raiders entered Sunday's mismatch with what is statistically the worst 100-game stretch in NFL history."

"The loss marked the fourth game in a row in which the Oakland offense generated fewer than 200 total yards and fewer than 12 first downs. In the franchise's 50-season history, the Raiders had never gone consecutive games with less than 200 yards, before their current streak of offensive futility."

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=4551569

I don't do this very often... but I guarantee that the Ravens have at least one win coming up...
