That's a good point too.

I just don't see any other possibility other than New England's acquisition of Burgess being inevitable, or the information divulged being meaningless.

The Ravens simply wouldn't have traded a player to their future opponent otherwise.

Since the pats released Burgess do we sign him back to (a) sure up the special teams bc we all know how big he plays there and/or (b ) to maybe get some info on the pats game plan/ weaknesses

Don't worry Burgess was a special teams guy, I doubt he knows enough to really make a huge difference. Also, I doubt Ozzie is dumb enough to get played like that

Does the conditional draft pick still apply then? Probably in the fine print

This is probably what they planned on doing all along and I wouldnt be surprised if the conditions of the 7th pick reflect that.
