Tom Cable: He'll Whip You Into A Winning Team...

6 posts in this topic
Raiders assistant coach Randy Hanson cooperated with a Napa Valley Police Department investigation last week, according to his lawyer, John McGuinn, telling a detective that he was struck by Oakland head coach Tom Cable and suffered a broken jaw. McGuinn would not go into specific details of what Hanson told police about how he was injured, but called the case "a textbook case of felony assault."
This is why the Raiders are the butt of jokes. It seems as if Tom Cable fits the bill for the stereotype of Raider fans. It's sad and pathetic. This is the second time Cable has allegedly struck another member of the Raiders coaching staff. Either he has anger management issues, or he needs to grow up. Well...or both.

Actually, this is the same incident from August. The investigation had been ongoing and the article simply states that the assistant coach that was struck has cooperated with authorities and given details.

It is, is it? I was skimming through it, and made an assumption based on the article title, so I'm blaming my assumption on how it was worded.

It's hard to feel much sympathy for Hanson. When a crime is committed, you report it, period. It isn't a "if you feel like it" kind of thing. That said, if Cable really did do it, he needs to be arrested and put through the legal process. If he is convicted, he needs to be sanctioned by the NFL just like a player.

The Raiders take disfunctional to all new levels.
