Suggestions On Any Sleeper Wr's Possibly Still On Waivers?

14 posts in this topic

Here's what I got:

Hines Ward (PITT): I know... I didn't want him but I needed someone who gets semi consistent looks
Kenny Britt (TENN): rookie not doing as well as I hoped
Devin Hester (CHI): pretty inconstant & is getting beat up on punt returns
Patrick Crayton (DAL): was supposed to be the new #1 after TO left
Justin Gage (TENN): meh no one really left, & Collins doing way worse than last year

If anyone has any suggestions on any WR sleeper pickups/who I should drop to get them

here's the rest of my lineup:
QB:
Drew Brees (NO) &
Mark Sanchez (NYJ)

RB:
Willis McGahee (BAL)
Darren Sproles (SD)
Brandon Jacobs (NYG)
Knowshon Moreno (DEN)

TE:
Jason Witten (DAL)

K:
Rian Lindell (BUF)

DEF:
Baltimore &
Philadelphia

It would be much appreciated, Thanks

Mike Sims-Walker, Jacksonville.

I just picked him up for a spot start, and he's done pretty well now that Troy Williamson's done for the season.

I agree. Sims-Walker I started and he put up some decent plug numbers for me.

It depends on how big your league is.

Mario Manningham
Mike Sims-Walker
Johnny Knox
Earl Bennett.

Damn, I was eying him, but before I picked him up he got snatched
Who should drop out of the terrible receiver I got,
right now I'm leaning towards either Gates or Britt.

My leagues got 12 people so the players are all spread pretty thin.

all the guys below are taken:
Kevin Walter
Mario Manningham
Mike Sims-Walker
Johnny Knox
Earl Bennett

Decent Free agents left:
Pierre Garcon
Laveranues Coles
Andre Caldwell
Kelley Washington
Jacoby Jones

Pierre Garcon looks like a new toy for Manning. He's a decent pickup for the short term. They play Seattle at home next week. If I were Gonzales I'd be trying to get back on the field. Because Garcon could steal his job.

Coles is another guy to keep an eye on. I'm surprised he's not on anybody's squad in your league. Once Palmer really gets going - so will Coles.

I still think that Britt has a lot of sleeper value. The Titans did go against the Jets.

It's a tough call. I would probably cut Gage pick up Garcon. And Start Garcon against the Seahawks. But when Gonzales comes back it will be an interesting predicament.

cool thanks for the advice,
just dropped gage & picked up garcon, if gonzales comes back i'll try to pick up coles if hes still free.
or you think i should drop crayton for coles?

@ TheMethodicalPoster
i'd pick up washington but flacco throws to too many people. washington prob won't be getting a TD every between heap, mason, clayton, mcgahee, & rice

Keep Crayton but keep an eye on the Bengals.
Coles and Crayton are sort of in the same pot and therefore interchangeable. They both play second fiddle with plenty of other guys behind them seeing time. They both play on "potentially" high powered offenses. Does your league give you points for individual TD returns? If so, keep Crayton because he does do punt returns.

I agree about K-Wash. Our game plan changes so much. And we haven't faced the most talented defenses yet. K-Wash is putting up decent numbers, but he's the type of guy where you start him he'll score you little. Then you bench him he'll score a lot. He's what I call a trap player. Most #3 WR are. I stick with the #2s before #3s.

I'm in a PPR league, yeah we do get the 6 pts on punt return TDs. I'm worried with the guys returning (including Hester & Sproles) they're gonna get banged up & won't make it til the end of the season or mainly used just for returning & not see any action down field.

if you think craytons worth keepin ill keep him around a couple more weeks.

BTW is there a new bye week rule cause I thought you can only have 2 teams on a bye each week but Week 7 BAL, DEN, & TENN all have byes what the heck?

Yeah keep Crayton around and hope Tony Romo can fix ship.

Also is Bobby Wade available? He's only been in KC for two weeks but already has put up great numbers. Which leads me to believe more is to come.

Keep an eye on Wade, Mike Wallace, Coles and Caldwell.

But like all things fantasy. Next week's revelvant free agent WRs could be a whole new batch.

wade's available but they play the giants next week

mike wallace, coles, & caldwell are all free as well

garcon got snatched up before i got my waiver in so i think im gonna look at coles or caldwell for now, after seeing the browns performance with us & the bengals performance with pitt i think he'll do pretty well next week

mike wallace maybe but i dunno if he'll get enough looks with ward & holmes

i'll watch wade see if he keeps getting looks

I picked up Wade for one of my teams today. It was an easy pick though. Laurent Robinson went out for the year.

I'm starting to think that he is an undervalued WR that's been stuck in Minnesota. I think he'll be great in the PPR department.

Any Saints receiver is worth keeping an eye on. I know Colston and Henderson will be on almost all teams, keep an eye on Meachem and Moore though. They could become like Steve Breaston on the Cardinals last year, and would see even more value if injuries occur in that receiving corp.
