Flacco's Rise In All Time Raven Stats

13 posts in this topic

Ok not sure if there is a thread like this. I looked over a few pages and didn't see one that fitted what I wanted to say.But it is interesting where Flacco ranks already after 19 regular season games in our all time passing records. This past Sunday,Joe moved into 4th all time in yards(3810)past Tony Banks and only trails Mcnair,Testerverde, and Boller (7846 yds in 53 games )
Joe is also second in completion % at 61.1 second to Mcnairs' 63.6%
Joe is 4th in Td passes (20)behind Banks(25),Boller (45),and Testerverde (51)he should jump to 3rd by the end of the year and if all goes well should be #1 in all the stats after next year, well except INT'S which mr. Boller has the lead with 44.all I can say Joe is wow thanks,I haven't gushed over a QB in a Ravens uniform since Testerverde, minus Mcnair and his comeback pressence.
here is the link to check out the Ravens stats http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/rav/ but I'll probably keep you guys posted on different passings in all time ranks,I love being the stat guy. It's one thing I actually enjoy is looking stuff up so if you need anything found out ask me

Well if he continues the way he is playing (279.6 ypg) through the rest of the season and two playoffs game. He'll beat out Boller with 8,004 yards in just Two Seasons!

Eat that Boller with your two TD passes!

Joe Flacco rookie season vs best rookie season by any QB please. We know he already owns one rookie record - only rookie to ever win 2 playoff games. Just wondering if there are any other "first's" in the list of first year accomplishments.

P.S - I hope you really REALLY enjoy hunting stats cause Im gonna be after you all the time. My ADD doesn't allow me to stay focused on 1 single task for very long = no patience to wade through tons and tons of stats.

You really have to look no further than Mr. Untouchable Peyton Manning:

"Manning took every snap for the Colts in 1998, and set all kinds of rookie QB records in the process: most completions (326), attempts (575), and yards (3,739). He also threw for 26 TDs, breaking Charlie Conerly's 50-year-old mark."

Flacco: Completions (257), Attempts (428), yards (2,971), 14 TDs

Kyle Boller holds the record for games won by a Baltimore Ravens quarterback (20) but Flacco (16 w/playoffs) is closing the gap.
[/quote]Seriously, 20 is tops all-time? Wow, Joe's gonna have that record wrapped up b4 we have to play the Steelers(and thats NOT including the playoffs)

Yeah I'm a big stat guy myself, you'll find me on profootballreference all the time. But no need to worry flaccoflicker, I'll let you handle the posts. Every time I bring up something along the lines of one of your topics all I ever seem to hear is "are you stupid?? stats don't mean a thing!!" lol So yeah, be my guest.

Anyway thanks for the topic, I was following this myself. Our QB situation of past years has really been disappointing. But I could care less about when Flacco breaks those horrible records, I'm more interested in watching him annihilate them. Speaking of records, can't wait to see Baltimore beat New England for the 1st time this weekend! If we end up 0-5 against them I'll be sick.

think alot has to do when people bring up stats to compare i usually just post stats to show progression at the end of the day yeah they are just numbers and don't always reflect what's going to happen on gameday. but i love following this stuff, love working with numbers.idk lol went off topic

Flacco need just 90 yards to pass Steve McNair for 3rd most passing yards of all time.and is 4 td passes away from taking over 3rd in alltime TD passes over Tony Banks.

It's safe to say that the saying "Defense wins football games" is true with awful stats like that (previous QBs I mean). But then again, I never had a problem with a low scoring game, however it's awesome to see blowouts sometimes ;).
