Week 10: Cincinnati Bengals At Baltimore Ravens

After this game, FIRE BILLICK!!!! This team isn't even trying anymore. Injuries aren't the problem. The offense is a train wreck. It's ok, at this rate we should be in good position in the draft because the only team they MIGHT beat would be Miami. Just forfeit the rest of the season and save all of us the embarrassment...

You have to admit, though, this was to be expected.

After a 13-3 season, the odds were against us to repeat with that good of a record, or anything close to it.

We've never won the division title in back-to-back years, and now that I think about it, we've only had two consecutive winning seasons (2003 and 2004, with 10-6 and 9-7 records, respectively), but we didn't make the playoffs in one of those years (2004). So...in theory, IF we win out, (assuming the score holds), the best we can do is 11-5 (which probably won't happen), but we can still miss the playoffs.

In all likelihood, with 4 losses in the division, we won't make the playoffs even with a wildcard berth, regardless of our overall record. But there are still enough chances for us to smile ahead.

Imagine how great it'd be to play spoiler against the Steelers somehow in terms of playoff seeding and take away their homefield advantage. Or how great it'd feel to miraculously ruin the Patriots' run at an undefeated season on Monday Night Football. Or how sweet it'll feel to give the Colts a loss in Baltimore on Sunday Night Football in front of a national audience.

It's those games that I'll continue to look forward to, no matter the outcome. Well, unless we get annihilated again like this past Monday night. Then I'd like to hold my dinner down, thanks. ^_^

interesting facts.....well atleast we kno we can throw deep with kyle boller that makes us feel a lil better....another interesting fact mark clayton is our first 100 yard receiver this season WOOOHOO!! this pretty much seals kyle bollers job for the rest of this season even tho it doesnt matter now.....so many games we couldve won if kyle had been our starter since day one.....i knda feel bad for steve i wanted him to do good this game too...but this is the nfl u cant turn the ball over

No, the Steelers loss hurt more. That one had so much riding on the line in front of a NATIONAL audience, and it was downright embarassing.

I think anyone that is still here is not a Bandwagon fan. This has been the most painful season I can remember.

i kno it even hurts worse then our 6-10 season and i dont know why...i guess its because now its not just our offense thats getting beat....but our team as a whole....fumbles on offense on kick returns, punt returns....and our defense is not stopping the pass....and it shows.....7 field goals....not even the ravens analysts have anythin to say about them other then that our season is basically over.....daamn sooo many fans including me were so excited about this season because of our accomplishment last season....but now we gotta wait ALMOSt a whole year to see if we can get to the playoffs....cant wait til the offseason

Billick stated that in post-game press conference.

haha, I wish I was a bandwagon fan, then I could just say screw it and go jump on the Pats truck. I agree with the comment, maybe we'll get a blessing from God and they'll upset the Steelers berth or knock the Pats off their pedastal. I'm not holding my breathe though.

that 1st drive was looking so promising... :(

Doesen't matter, you kick or throw the ball, you lose 5 yards. I was screaming at Ike Taylor and Anthony Smith all day, ray ray rubbed off on them Monday night

Why are we so different from last season?

Two reason

1- Easy schedule last year

2- We know the answer to who wins - a weak defense vs. a pathetic offense

I can only remember us playing 3 playoff teams last year. (now I might be wrong)

But we did beat all 3 of them to our credit.
