Let's not get carried away. Tom Brady. Randy Moss. Need I say more? I can't see it being a blow out either way...
Exactly.... 2 wins against Kansas City and Cleveland (Detroit is better than those 2 teams) then need a 4th down stop to come away with a win at San Diego doesn't mean it wil be easy in New England.

This game too will come down to a 4th down stop or score....period.

We can win this game for sure but it won't be easy of course. We're facing another top 5 QB in the league with one of the best WR's in the game. Not to mention if Wes Welker comes back for this game.

Pressure on Tom Brady has forced him to make mistakes but every offense seems to try and counteract our pass rush with a three step drop and throw. And if there is a team that is built for that type of play, its New England.

Now, you know that old man Fred Taylor will not be rushing for 100+ yards on us like he did against Atlanta. He'll be lucky to top 45 on the day. But that doesn't mean that Brady won't torch us like Rivers did.

I just hope that our defense doesn't get too confident after a dominating effort against a really really bad football team.

Although now, we pose a big problem for New England. They really have to worry about our offense. The New England defense has given up yardage and points. They had a much improved effort against Atlanta but they will have a much harder time defending us. They will have to worry about three talented running backs and a QB who can strike at any time and will work with what a defense is giving him.

This will be another close game but we can win it. It's really a 50/50 on this one. It's two talented football teams going head to head.

I think I screwed up the merging of the two threads. You didn't "start" this one, it's just that your topic was very similar to one that was already established. I merged them and something went awry! It'll be fixed momentarily.

O okay no big deal I just was trying to figure out if I did something wrong. You can leave it as is it's fine.

If we can get pressure up the middle on Brady we should be able to force a turn over or 2. When the ravens win the TO battle they are a virtual lock to win.

IMO the Ravens are overall a better team than NE. Even though the Pats aren't unstoppable anymore, they are still a good football team playing at home. I don't think it will be a blow out but I think the Ravens will be the topic of conversation across the NFL next monday.

Granted we are 3-0 and looked great last week, let's not get to excited. The Patriots are a real team with a coach who knows more about the game than almost any other coach out there these days. While Brady looks uncomfortable and our run defense is outstanding you have to expect adjustments to offset our defense. While we did get 4 picks this week our secondary looks subpar. We had trouble with Brodie Croyle and the Chiefs. I can understand Vincent Jackson and Phil Rivers, above average players. But Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, and Ben Watson will prove a much greater challenge where we really need to tighten the screws. I believe as long as we can force Brady to keep the ball away from Moss as other teams have done we take away a huge offense from Brady. Welker is more than up to the job however as is Galloway and Watson so our safties need to be on top of them all day while not falling for Brady's tricky schemes. The biggest thing to watch out for is Kevin Faulk on the screen during a classic Ravens blitz. If Suggs can keep an eye on him during third down situations we will be more likely to cause a failed 3rd down conversion. All these things can and hopefully will lead to another good week for Baltimore. I feel if everything goes well, Ravens win 31-27.

I wish we didn't have to play the easy teams in Baltimore and the tough squads on the road. . .

I was thinking the same thing. Then go look at the squeelers schedule, what a joke. Their first half looks like this: Away - Bears, Bungles, Lions / Home - Titans, Chargers, Browns, and Vikings.

First, I can guarantee that Brady will be looking to exploit Foxworth just like SD did two games ago. He may be quick but he is small and I hope he doesn't get matched up against Moss. As far as the media talking about the Ravens...we never get any respect...I barely saw any highlights of us on Sportscenter last night...fine by me...let's fly under the radar and continue to kick ****** as we go.

I'm seeing this game as the first real test of our offense and defense. If we can make sure to stop people like Moss quickly enough we could make it into a very difficult day for the Patriots. I think if we do win it's going to come down to one TD or FG to make it happen, there will be no 34-3 type of score like we saw yesterday. I'm thinking 21-17

What I am concerned with is our kick returning this year. Last year it seemed like we could pick up about 15-20 yards on each return and put ourselves in good field position, but I haven't been seeing that this time around, and it was painfully obvious yesterday.

Carr didn't do too much returning punts but his one kick return went for 28 yards. I think Webb is a bit more explosive than him but his fumbles took him out the discussion for now.

I'll repeat what I've said to other people a few times already, Randy moss is actually a better match up for Foxworth or Washington because he's not nearly as physical and strong as San Diego's WR's. I'm sure they will have some more help over top from the Safeties as well, and remember any team that wants to try to throw bombs all day on us is flirting with disaster because of #20.

Jim leonhard was so good for us last year because he had good acceleration and he just ran straight ahead. Carr doesn't accelerate and he runs east to west instead of just running north.

NE's Oline and Dline are shadows of their former selves. Since they got caught cheating (signal watching) there has been a decline in their game play... possible they no longer know when the blitz is comming? Their LB core is weaker than a straw house and Brady is still shaking off the rust if you ask me. For all their current short comings you still have to worry about NE. Once read a SI writeup that mentioned "you could take Bellichik, Brady, 2 of your best buddies, your grandmother and select the rest of your players from off the street and still have a chance of winning a game in the NFL".

It was more of a height mismatch than it was a physical or strength matchup and Moss is quite a bit taller than our CB's.

Nah, there's nothing physical about being 6'4" and jumping as high as you can to catch a ball over a short DB.

That, and Moss is one of very few WR's in the league who can outrun our DB's.

I'm looking at a 6'4" guy with pine tar hands, 10 years of experience, blazing speed and inhuman leaping ability, and Tom Brady throwing him the ball.... let's not pretend that the most physically gifted the NFL has ever seen can't make us bleed. Especially when he has a HOF qb throwing the passes.

I'm still bitter about the game N Bmore 2 seasons ago Monday or Sunday Night (can't remember).....I see us 4-0 , and Brady on his back.......29-17 RayyyyyyyyyVens
Yeah I feel like that game was why Billick got canned, after the 3 times we shut down the run & then he calls a time out, afterward they got the 1st down...then the icing on the cake was the week after when we lost to Miami giving them their only win. The only good thing about that year was seeing the Patriots loose in the Superbowl. I think New Englanders have enough trophies (ie Red Sox & Celtics) it's getting a little old

Once again, we have success running the ball, 1 turnover or less, we win any game. I dont see why we wont run all over them this sunday. I dont see why we wont pressure brady. The only question for us is-will we limit Welker if he's listed as active for that game? If we can, no way we lose unless we have a bad day as every team does at some point.

Didn't mean to sound like that. Moss is great, well better than great but he is just one guy. I guess what I really should have said was that the Patriots are starting to look like a few great players where the Ravens are looking like a great TEAM.

Kelley washington played with the Pats before he cames to us so, maybe he can give us on some insight, but don't forget Prescott is at NE now so Im sure Belicheck is askinghim on our strengths/weaknesses

There is a poll up on sunspot.net, only 17 1/2% of the 13K+ polled think the ravens will win this game. Here is the link- http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/bal-ravenspatspoll0927,0,2160471.poll . I don't think this will be an easy win by any means, but as long as we can continue to put up 30+ points we will have a great chance to win. The patriots haven't scored more than 26 yet this year. They relied on the run last week, and we can stop it for sure.

Yup, this game will surely tell us where the Ravens are as of right now. It doesnt tell us how the season will end. A lot of things can happen to change the power ranking over the course of 13 gameS, such as injuries and players just maturing at different rates. So don't put TOO much emphasis on the Ravens performance as it relates to them winning the Super Bowl, or NOT winning the Super Bowl. The biggest factor pointing to the Ravens being a REAL Superbowl contender is their youth at critical positions on the field. This means that they are only going to get better and not decline ffrom their current talent levels. Older teams can't say this and this gives the ravens an edge. BUT,,,HELLO HOUSTON....THIS IS DEFINITELY A TEST!

I heard Wilfork was going to be a game-time decision. If so would him being active or inactive really matter to us?
