Way to Jinx us.

We are still a beatable team. We've played KC, a hobbled SD so far. And next up the Browns.

Let's talk after the Colts game.

I always think we can since everything's a possibility. I mean, I never write any game off as an automatic loss, no matter the odds. It's the eternal optimist in me.

But that doesn't mean it'll happen, though. -_-

When your 2-0 its always a possibility. The Giants, Vikings, Jets and Ravens all have the possibility of an undefeated season.

But there is a lot of football to be played. What the Patriots did a few years ago was a freak of nature. They set records across the board. Plus they had the D to back it up.

We still have to play the Steelers twice, whom we were 0-3 with last year. Petyon Manning and the Colts, who has always had our number. And a Patriots team, who knows what sort of burner they can turn on.

Dude, I got laughed at for predicting 13-3 or 14-2 last month. The gloom-n-doomers are gonna hang you for this one

I don't think we're quite there yet where we can even think about this. It totally depends on (of all things) our defense. If our defense can repeat last year's performance, then there is a possibility we can make this happen. It will require either Fabe or Foxworth stepping up to Pro Bowl caliber, and our front seven generating a lot of turnovers. Ask again in 6 weeks.

I was looking at our schedule and truly believe we can go 16-0. Does anyone else think this?

It's funny, the first too topics I see on Ravens Talk is, "Who Think We Can Go Undefeated" and "When Will We Get Our First Loss?"

Come on people. We are 3 weeks into the season and we are talking about going Undefeated? Silly, just silly.

To be fair, there's enough valid reasons to justify thinking there's a probable chance of going 16-0. Only problem is, what we've seen in the first two weeks makes it hard to see that being reality.

So, really, I see nothing wrong with a little (extreme) optimism. I mean, we don't always go into every Sunday thinking we'll lose, right? ;)

On the other hand, that's also why we're not professional prognosticators.

It's just way to early to even begin thinking about undefeated.

There's still a possibility for us to go 2-14

Blasphemy - take it back!!!!!

That's not possible when we still have four games to play against the Brownies and Bungholes

We're guaranteed at least 6-10 this year! B)

I don't know that we can't go undefeated. It's a possibility, the way our team is playing. What I am more exited about is that we have the potential to step up into elite category this season. I want us to be one of those teams that consistently put up 11+ wins a season and always have a shot at the superbowl. That's what i want us to establish this season. I think that is more important that going 16. I think though, that as fans, we finally have the feeling that we can beat any team we face. We couldn't say that before, but now it is a possibility in our minds and that is why the talk of 16-0 is coming up in week 3. It says something about how we feel about our team, not that we are being presumptuous.

I agree with those who would rather see consistansy (spell check??). Many would say us winning the Super Bowl was a fluke. Others say the AFC championship game doesn't mean anything if we can't beat the squeelers out of 3 tries. Analysts say we are good, but the general public and/or media hasn't given us the credit we deserve. Why? To many ups and downs. Just keep playing the way we did last season and this season and do it for many seasons in a row.

You might as well started this discussion at the end of preseason week 4.

Not going to happen.

I wish people would discuss their ideas in either direction - as opposed to, "No wai!" style comments.

Here's your explanation:
We play playoff caliber teams, Patriots, Vikings, Colts, Steelers
We play NFC teams that you never know might happen: Packers, Bears
Then you have "trap" games (the Ravens dont usually lose, but could):Browns, Lions, Raiders, Broncos.

We will lose somewhere down the line, but not today

Can we, yes but will we, no. The ravens always have a couple down games and sadly they seem to come up against the browns. I'll feel a bit better if we win today.

The defense needs to get better for it to happen though. We won't put up 30+ every game this year.
