Met Jonathan Ogden at a meet and greet about seven years ago, which was an absolute laugh riot due to a silly comment I made.

Met Jarret Johnson last year at training camp. We talked a surprisingly long time, considering that he had finished a practice not five minutes before.

I don't live close enough to Baltimore to get more chances to meet the team, so I cherish my two a great deal and hope for more eventually.

I met Rod Woodson in 2000 at Pittsburgh. The Brother-in-Law of my best friend was awesome enough to contact the Steelers head of Security and when Rod was coming out of the locker room after they kicked the Steelers !@#@, this guy took me through the crowd and put me in front of Rod Woodson. I was an avid Rod Woodson fan. It was incredible. I was all nervous I must have looked like some school girl. He shook my hand, took a picture with me and autographed my jersey. My Dad then made a frame for it.

Now that Woodson has played for 20 other teams since the Ravens and will retire a Steeler I was thinking about selling it. I may just hang on to it and when my basement is done hang it on the wall.

Fuddruckers = some of the best burgers I've ever had, PERIOD.

If only I could chow down with players flanked to my left and right at nearby tables...they'd put me to shame with their huge appetites...

I've had the opportunity to meet a few. By far, the best experiences were Ed Reed and Bart Scott.

Ed Reed took the time to play with my two year old and his Toy Story figures. He must have spent five minutes just playing and talking with my son. He really went out of his way for the kids around.

Bart Scott was great as well. His son was with him and he still took the time to talk to my brother and I. It was on the Saturday before the Chargers game and Bart signed the side of my brothers head. He got a lot of attention at the game the next day.

So far, I have not had a bad experience with any of the players.

The other players I have met are Matt Stover, Daniel Wilcox, Ovie Mughelli, Adalius Thomas, Kyle Boller and Dawan Landry.

Actually at Fuddruckers JO, Ernest Byner, Ozzie Newsome and some others I did not recognize were eating there in 1997, JO is HUGE! Todd Heap was there with his wife and kids right after the season ended. I don't eat there I just take the kids :o ( I prefer Capitain Harvey's across the street) Mike Nolan used to belong to our pool and he and the coaches were there a lot. I do remember Harbaughs kid played for the Mustangs and Nolans girls cheered for them. The first Year Billick was here my husband ran into him in Food Lion and asked him if he thought the team was going to win, and He replied "I didn't come here to lose." :) I never bother the players if they are eating or with the family--they are people too and deserve family time.

My dad's mechanic for his cars knows AD. When my dad went to pick up the truck, Terrence (mechanic) said that they missed AD by like a minute.

Well...I haven't been to Fuddruckers in about a year or so since there isn't one here in DE, so I don't care if it's gone downhill, I'll still find a way to appreciate their burgers whenever I can!... :P

wow, that is really awesome! i live in san antonio tx, so , its really hard to get to meet anyone from the ravens! heheehe! i have met a raven though, when he was a titan, STEVE AIR MCNAIR! how it happend! well, its a long story! my friend linda, who passed away from ms two years ago surprized my sister and i with tickets to a titans game on the FRONT ROW ON THE 50 YARD LINE! we were really close! the day before, she set up for stephine( my sister) and i, to take a private tour of the titans practice facility, then we went to the game , had a blast, i brought a sign with me in 03 that said steve mcnair for mvp, it had high light pictures of him all over , everything! after the game, linda told me that steve had bussed his family from missisippi to nashville for the game, and their bus was at the ramada inn across the street from the stadium THE SAME HOTEL THAT STEPH AND I SPENT THE NIGHT AT! i was in shock! she said, " not alot of fans know this , so you are gonna get to meet steve's family, wait for steve and meet him!. i cry thinking about it , because his family is so nice, especially steve's mom, her and i talked for a while, and then came steve! i talked to him, and guys, when people say that steve mcnair is a class act, THEY ARE NOT KIDDING! the dude just talked to me like we had known eachother for ever, and all i could tell him was that he played a great game, that he was the best and that he was gonna get his ring! he thanked me, signed my poster that i made, everything, and then signed my jersey! i will never forget that day! I was sitting in the Barn waiting for Nasty to start his show the day after the Dwan Edwards draft and Ogden walked in and sat next to me. He said high with that big smile of his. Then Nasty grabbed him and took him up front.

I met Stover thru my nephews. His kids go to the same Christian camp. When we got his autograph at Fan Fest a few years ago, he talked to them awhile because he knew them. The boys are pals with his kids.

I met Mike McCreary at a big bash he threw to raise $$ for the Special Olympics. Later, he was driving over the bridge to the stadium parking lot and was stopped in traffic. I yelled hey Mike and he waived.

I met Flynn, Zeus and Benny at the Nests bull roast. It was the year after he blew that game with a penalty that took out ot of FG range. I said, Zeus, you didn't lose that game. The undersized defensive line blew it by letting them run right threw them. That loss had nothing to do with you. He just gave me a huge bear hug and turned to Benny Anderson and said he's the only guy in this town who believes that. When Zeus left he climbed into his custom made pickup. He needed a ladder to climb into the cab. I said Zeus, how much did that cost? He said $80,000. It was loaded with lights and chrome and had the huges wheels. Really cool.

As kids we knew all the old Colts because we grew up behind the stadium, about a 20 min walk along the Alameda. When kids hung out by the exits to get their autographs we hung out by Sweeney's, their favorite drinking hole. Sometimes we'd run errands like getting them cigs or a paper.

We also knew Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra when they came to town.

I have my pic taken with Billick. The scrimmage used to be at the college. Long after it was over I was walking on the practice field by the gym and somebody yelled at me to get off the field. It was Billick. I said sure coach but how about a pic. Security ran over to get me but Billick said to take a pic. The following year I got it autographed at camp.

I'll tell you a funny story about meeting Fassel. I always sit on the hill behind the corner of the end zone by the gym. Back then there were steps leading up the hill but last yr they took them out. Anyway, Fassel walked up those steps right by me and I gave him my SB hat to sign. I have autographs of both the winning and losing coaches on my SB35 hat. Anyway, I asked Fassel when is Boller going to stop telegraphing his throws. He said he's not telegraphing his throws, what gives you that idea.

I said all you gotta do is look at his eyes and you know where the ball is going. Reed made 2 INTs yesterday and said he just followed the ball. Looking at you, you were telling Kyle not to throw it there before he threw it. You knew he was telelgraphing his throw. He said well, he's not telegraphing his throws. I said sure coach, if you say so.

A few days later comcast had Fassel and Boler wired up in practice so you could hear what they were saying. They were working on telegraphing his throws and Fassel said it's pretty bad when fans describe to me in detail how you're doing it. If the fans know, the opposition surely knows.

Another story on McNair at camp. It was his first day last summer and he was standing by the door of the gym after practice talking to some teammats. Some women with children were standing by the fence and yelling for him to come over. He was about 50 yards away. I thought, sure, he's gonna come over for them. Well, he did. He walked over and signed for all the kids and moved up the fence to sign but only for women and children. There were only a couple of us guys there and he skipped us completely. While walking back I yelled hey Steve and held out my poster. He just waived and kept going.

I read that some players don't like giving their autographs to men because some sell them. He might have signed for some later, but not that day. Anway, I glad I didn't have it after he blew that Colt game throwing the INT on the goal line-lol. It wasn't worth a crap then.

One last story on Ray or his mom and his best friend. I wasn't there at the time but this is a famous story making it way around the Nests. Ray's mom and his friend The Rock were cutting thru the H lot tailgates where the Nests and Poes Crows party before the game. Nobody knew who they were except the gals of Nest 1. They knew Ray's mom and invited them over for something to eat.

The Rock was ill that day, so a gal said he could lie down in their van which he did. Her husband had their daughter out buying some stuff and wasn't there at the time. The Rock slept for about 30 mins, got up and took Ray's mom to the stadium.

When Bob got back his wife said you'll never believe who was sleeping in your van? She said the Rock. He said sure, he was. When he saw the other gals laughing he knew it was true.

Oh, one more story on Ray and not a nice one. Remember that McCreary bash I mentioned above? Ray showed up. There was a long line waiting for his autograph and I was at the end of it. Suddenly, Ray stopped signing and walked into the VIP lounge with the other players. Ravenatics and I worked ourself in to see if he would sign but he was sitting at the end of the bar with a towel over his head while looking down. He wasn't talking to anyone. I think someone might have said something about his trial or something. Nobody got his autograph after that, but my nephew got his jersey signed by Ray the following summer at the Fan Fest at the stadium.

For a Christmas present I got it framed and it proudly hangs in his dorm at College.

When Goose use to do his radio show in cockeysville, we use to go the show. So at those shows we saw him of course, mccrary, and some other ravens he had on his show.

I saw Todd Heap at the Baja Fresh in hunt valley, and kyle boller at hunt valley town centre.

One funny story a few years ago before i knew that Brian Billick walks from the team hotel over to the stadium each game (does he still do that?), we were walking across the hamburg st bridge over to lot H, and im like that guy walking this way looks just like Billick, but was like it cant be, why would he be walking this way....and sure enough it was. I was like "hey".

Also for those that dont know, a really great place to see and get pictures of the ravens, is right after the game. Head over to the back yard bash after the game, they have beer/soda and a live band...wait about 30-45mins then walk on up to the the players entrance. They all walk out to their cars and sign autographs and you can get some pictures. usually it isnt too crowded maybe 40-70 people. You also get to see some real nice cars pulling out!

Man, if I was that guy, I would've FREAKED! I mean, c'mon now...one of my idols, The Rock, and the mother of my other idol, Ray Lewis, and I missed out on meeting both just because I took my daughter shopping?! I probably would've cried for DAYS...LOL :P

Yea, your right about that lot and the cars. Ray drove up in his gray Hummer. Nothing but expensive sports cars and SUVs in that lot. I remember Shula driving up to Memorial Stadim in his old beat up station wagon as a new coach. He obviously hadn't had time to spend his new $$. Of course today, he's one of the richest men in the country and lives in West Palm Beach, Florida.

One time Billick was walking across the bridge in front of the stadium. I was at Poe Bros tailgate. We were playing Tenn that day and I yelled for Billick to go get his b*tch - Fisher. Billick owned him after beating him 2 of 3 games on way to SB. He just smiled at us. One amusing thing was that all his coaches were walking with him too, or rather they were walking behind him. Guess nobody wanted to be seen as brown nosing him-lol.

One time I met Tom Matte after one of his radio shows on The Avenue. I said is that the SB ring and he took it off and let me wear it. It wasn't nearly as big as the Ravens ring but it was so cool with the horse shoe in it and a diamond in the middle of the horse shoe. I actually wore the SB ring for about 20 secs. BTW, Lenny Moore wears both his 58 and 59 championship rings at once - one on each hand. I also asked Tom Matte if SB3 was fixed and his face turned red and said yea and Bubba fixed it. Bubba wrote a book that the game was fixed and pointed fingers and Matte and some of his teammates never liked him after that. All Bubba has to do is look in the mirror to see who blew the game as Emerson Boozer ran by him to the outside the entire game.

He pointed the figure at Earl Morral who was one of the only players who wasn't upset after the game at the party. He said he never saw Jimmy Orr by himself in the end zone on the flea flicker. They scored on that player earlier in the year.

Earl made up for it in SB5 after Unitas went down and drove the ball down the Cowboys throats in the 2d half. He was a lot cooler under pressure then, like the vet he was supposed to be. Alex Hawkins wrote that he merely choked in SB3.

Scott Garcieu and Bruce Laird were hosting Nest 1's scholarship banquet. Scott was ribbing Laird about the 77 PO game vs OAK when they beat us on the Ghost to Post play. Scott saw that game on the classic's channel the night before and he said Laird was the last guy you see trailing Casper in the end zone.

Laird said he wasn't even suppose to be in on that play. He had his man covered on the outside but the linebacker forgot to pick the TE up and he had clear sailing to the end zone. I was over there covering up for them.

Afterwards I asked Bruce if STan White was the linebacker who forgot to pick the TE up. He just laughed and said, yea.

Met as in... seen in person, within 25 feet of the player? Or met as in... Shook hands and made conversation with the player? (by conversation I mean don't just say hi, actually talk about various things with the player) Yeah, that last definition I gave is the real meaning of meeting.

Seen in person, within 25 feet of the player (also received autographs):

*All of the 04 starters

*Steve McNair

*Willis McGahee

*Mark Clayton

*Derick Mason

*Samari Rolle

*B.J. Sams

*Dan Cody

Shook hands and made conversation with the player (autographs too, duh) (actually met):

*Matt Stover

*Ray Lewis

*Brain Billick

The best way to actually meet the players is to attend the Nests or Roosts parties and especially their OC Rave weekend when several of the players actually play volley ball with the fans on the beach. It was Hartwell's and Muli's favorite event. Player's are at their bull roasts too so you can actually meet and talk to them like I did with Zeus. One time Roost 51 in Annapolis had Bisciotti appear and Billick too. Players often speak at their regular meetings.

I'll tell you a funny story about one Rave weekend. I heard several players were at Secrets late one afternoon so I stopped by. I saw some and got some autograhs. Some like McCreary sign their # by their name. I asked one player to sign and to put his #. He wrote his phone #. So my SB hat has all these signatures plus a phone # - true. I never heard of the guy but one of the Roosts said there were UDFs there too. So my SB hat has all these signatures, including many from the SB team plus a phone #. ILMAO.

Speaking of Billick, he was supposed to appear at a Roost bull roast a couple of years ago but didn't show up. People paid $30 just to meet him. Steve Sclosberg-sp? of 1300 told me that Bisciotti asked Billick to go to the Terps game with him and sent his limo to pick Billick up. A lot of us were disappointed, especially since Billick was out brown nosing the boss instead of being with us. He was roundly booed at the game when he was introduced by all those Deadskins fans down there. We would have never booed him.

One funny story about OC. Our club had rented Secrets for the afternoon and had paid for it a year in advance but some of the Roosts showed up and crashed the party. Back in those days the Nests and Roosts weren't so friendly because we split from the Roosts and now have over 31 clubs and 2,000 at our bull roast.

Anyway, when our Prez heard about these guys crashing the party he got management to throw them out. A lot of guys didn't want them to go but some of them did. Management thought they were with us since they wore their colors, but they threw them out including a couple of Ravens who the Prez didn't know they were with them. We thought it was all a set up by the Roosts but who knows. We really looked bad throwing some Ravens out of our party, especially since we were there to support them. Anyway, things are friendlier now, I think. We did a joint venture with one of the Roost clubs and had a huge tailgate before the Jags game in JAX 2 yrs ago. I won't mention the club # to protect the innocent.

This was before my time but once some of the guys from our club went into a Squeelers bar down there. They didn't know it was a Squeelers bar til they got in and saw all their jerseys and helmets all over the place. The guys sat down anyway and no one served them. Things got out of hand when the DJ started yellling over the PA system, Ravens suck, Ravens suck. One of the Ravens fans said we can't let that stand and he jumped the DJ. It was the Squeelers fans that were outnumbered that time. It was our resort. Our club Prez, a diff one from the Secrets incident, had to go down and straighten things out with the owner, who apologized for not serving the guys and for his DJ for starting the fight. Up to that point they were well behaved. I think the DJ ended up in the hospital and some of our guys ended up in jail.

One time when we were staying at the Seabony a girl dived into the pool naked. It was dark and I was the only guy who noticed her and said to my friend, that girl is naked, or topless. Everyone heard me and turned around and starting whistling and cheering. She got out and flashed her boobs. True.

And none of those stories compares to what happens when we travel to other venues, especially Denver in 01 where we mooned Denver fans exiting their new stadium. That's one of Mr. T's favorite stories.

Anyway, you'll be in for some wild times if you join a Nest or Roost - especially Nest 1, which is closed for membership due to our 200 member ceiling, but you can still apply.

The crab pot in Bel Air doesn't hold more than that.

i have met a bunch but i do have an amazing story:

i was at the airport going to LA (transferring in Phoenix), it was just after one of the scheduled OTAs. When i walk into the airport, i swear i thought i saw Tsizzle, and then i see him a few more times and i am ultimately under the consumption it is him when he sits down at the gate. Now. I am looking straight ahead and i see todd heap just standing around and then sits across from me. So suggs is just to me left looking outside (back towards heap) and heap is sitting facing me. I was scared i had no idea what to do in this situation. But i figured i had to do something, so i went up to todd and asked him if that was his former ASU teammate. I dont like making scenes because there is no reason for them. But pointing them out to each other felt real good
