New playcalling

Firing Billick as HC will just set the organization back,

Removing his playcalling ability is a different story

So do you think Billick needs to go?

He only needs to stop calling the plays

I love him as our Head Coach, I couldn't think of anyone else I'd want patrolling the sidelines.

But, I'd rather have Neuheisel call the plays from here on out.

I think it's a combo of the two.

He had amazing talent in Minnesota

Randy Moss

Cris Carter

Warren Moon

Robert Smith

Jake Reed

That probably inflated his "genius" status a little more than it should have.

And, another, he has had very little talent up until recently.

That puts a big effect on a coach.

But most importantly, besides all the Offensive struggles, HE WINS

He's got a 58% win pct., a SB ring, and he's the winningest (not a word, but.. ok) coach in Baltimore history

Better execution of the plays. You could have Tom Brady's playbook, but if the guys are not executing the plays as written nothing is going to happen. Better O-Line play leads to time for execution of the plays.

Excuse me, "Big D", but that's urban legend. Billick, to my knowledge, never touted himself as the "Offensive Guru". Neither did the Ravens Front Office. He was a highly successful OC at Minnesota, where he had some outstanding weapons such as Randall Cunningham, Chris Carter, Robert Smith, and Randy Moss. That "Offensive Guru" has been nothing more than media stuff.

As far as what our offense needs: better discipline and play-calling alone would solve most of the problems. Another year of the OL playing together to develop better chemistry would help. More depth at TE. And, of course, staying healthy.

Very interesting question...

First, Odgen needs to retire - his injury is something that he will not be able to overcome 100% and he can not allow his playing ability, or lack there of, hurt the team. Don't get me wrong, Ogden is one of the best to ever play and will no doubt be in the HOF. By him retiring, he will allow the younger players to gain valuable learning experience and gear them for next year.

Second, a young talented quarterback - McNair has passed his prime and with the way the Oline is playing he is seriously going to get hurt. Boller has not and will not ever prove to be an NFL QB; Troy Smith needs to get playing time to see what he is really made of - ie Vince Young.

Third, a deep threat WR - we have two that we do not use to their potential - Williams and Moore. Now the problem is when either one is on the field opposing D's pick up and drop double coverage on them, pass ends up incomplete or picked. Keep one in at all time and send him deep on every play - that will draw one corner to cover and keep the safety honest. If not, boom go deep on man to man coverage.

Fourth, go to a one TE set and put Heap in the slot - this will force a DE or LB to cover and relieve some pressure on the QB. Plus 9 times out of 10 Heap will beat any LB.

Fifth, depth in the secondary. Corey Ivy is not a future premier corner. We should have never let Demps go, especially with those who were kept to replace him. This has really come to the fore front especially with McCalister and Rolle out, we will continue to get beat deep.

Sixth a young MLB to take Ray's place - Ray has one maybe 2 yrs left, to not plan now for his replacement will set them back several seasons.

Seventh, another premier DE - Sizzle is young and is awsome, but we need someone on the other side, Trevor Pryce is on his way out of what has been a great career. Losing AD to NE was a huge loss and something that has seriously hurt the pass rush drastically.

Eighth, Billick needs to stop calling the plays - he is too predictable and every team knows it.

Ninth, they all need to stop thumping their chests, get back in the huddle and get set for the next play.

I don't get to watch many Ravens games, but I watched the Steelers vs Ravens game (in hopes you guys would destroy them), and was wondering if your offensive line always plays like that...keep in mind im not talking trash just curious...I was also curious if Steve McNair's play from that game is typical of him...and also if willis mcgahee is all hes cracked up to be...

those were just things i noticed and was curious about, your defense is a phenom, still...i think you guys could have held them if you had everyone

More than half of that BS is for the D, this topic is for the O.

And, yes, we should have let Demps go. Because, now, we a great young SS, Dawan Landry, and Demps is crying as a backup on the Texans.

And why would you want JO to retire?

He is (by far) our best and most experienced lineman. And how do you know how he will recover from his injury? Are you his trainer?
