5 Sacks, Really?

7 posts in this topic

Not only that, Odom has SEVEN sacks on the season and is currently the leader as of the end of Week 2. He's only ONE sack shy of his career-high (8) when he was with the Titans.

I doubt the man will continue on this pace, but if he doesn't chase Michael Strahan's sack record (22.5), he'll be a huge disappointment in Cincinnati as the season wears on.

Well he's on pace to have 56 so we'll see. That'd be something nice for Bungles fans, since another season in the basement of the AFC North is inevitable.

From Michael Lombardi on NFL.com:

Cincy sack attack: Antwan Odom of the Bengals registered five sacks, four of them after Packers starting left tackle Chad Clifton left the game. Nonetheless, it was an impressive performance and the Bengals are very impressive on defense.

I think that after the third or fourth sack, I would have given some help to this back up tackle. Makes you wonder what some OC's are thinking sometimes.

I watched all of them and it all looked like a big fluke, the guy is slow as hell and wasn't getting blocked.

Maybe the Packers aren't as good as everyone thought? I saw a boatload of people predict them to be the NFC's team in the Super Bowl.
