Next Up: Cleveland Browns

Everyone though the giants would beat the browns on mnf last year and look what happened. It's probably going to be a tough match up, and just cuz they're struggling doesn't mean they won't put up a fight, especially to a division rival.

was just browsing around on the Browns Message Board and came across the topic of This Weekends Game against Us.... there are some faithful fans that believe whole heartedly that they can and will turn it around and win this game, but from an outsiders point of view on the subject....you just have to make reason here and be realistic with the way we (the Ravens) have played the past 2 weeks, versus the way the Browns have player the past 2 weeks.....two totally different sides of the spectrum here....here we have a suffocating defensive unit with the ability to create turnovers like mad and keep our opponents on their heels the entire game (although we need to work on our secondary a little bit, instead of them getting burned or caught off guard) Versus a Offensive unit that is struggling to score 1 TD, let alone just try and protect their quarterback.....

Meanwhile, Our Newly formed version of Offense versus the Browns twindling Defense is (im sure) nothing Browns fans come to enjoy watching....Flacco right now is having a season that has brung New Hope to this city and team and its fans.... and the airal attack will be good and plenty (though not AS much as last week...maybe), coupled by a heavy....HEAVY dose of the round game...rushing attack to take time off the clock and grind out the yards....the Browns defense over the course of the past 2 weeks are listed as being Near the bottom of the NFL on defense......allowing runners to gash them across the board throughout the entire game....

Maybe the browns COULD pull off an upset this week but i smell a win for us this week, we just have to keep our heads about us out there and play SMART football.

I was just checking some Browns forums, most of the fans that were predicting a cleveland win were thinking we will be too cocky after the SD win. they have no confidence in the team's ability on the field and were praying for a psychological win.

I saw the Brownie's message boards too. By the way, TONS of class over there. Anyway, I think the Ravens are going to handle business on sunday. My prediction:

30-3 Ravens.

You got that right.

In fact Cleveland had us on the ropes last year, we had to pull out a come from behind win against them.

That said, I think we win this game by a good margin.

Anyone else worried about Joshua Cribbs? The special teams coverage units have struggled all year and Cribbs is as good as anyone in the league returning kicks and punts . He's a great gunner on coverage units too.

I agree with this post. I do think the Browns will put up a better dog fight than most of us are expecting.

I will go 27 - 20 or 27 - 17 Ravens.

We better play this game like it was the Super Bowl and take no prisoners. Because it's going to bite our purple feathered butts in the end. LET'S GO RAVENS!!

After Sproles. Cribbs doesn't seem so bad.

Sproles is a weapon but remember what Cribbs did to the special teams in 07.

Cribbs is dangerous for sure. Actually he's their only weapon. But I almost get a sigh of relief going against Cribbs after watching Sproles return kicks.

I agree but Braylon Edwards is a weapon too. As inconsistent as he is, he can still make big plays.

Cribbs scares me too, but the days of relying on field position and FGs to score points (where he makes a big difference) are fading in the background.

Jeez , after this video I saw on youtube with this radio guy. I hope we blow the browns out 50-0 show no mercy! <_<

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47UYDliKBZ4&feature=channel

And notice how he's talking about Baltimore History instead of the actual game that's about to come up. lol :P
It looks like he has an obsession with half-naked men. He's obviously under cover...deeeeeeeeeeep cover.

Cribbs scares the hell out of me.
Cribbs IS good, but he's not good enough to beat the Ravens single handedly. IMO the best way to contain him is to just not kick to him. I think Koch is so good at dropping it in behind the 10 that punts won't be a huge factor but on kickoffs we just need to kick short or kick it deep into the endzone. I think the defense should be able to have a good day against Cleveland's offense, and Cleveland's defense isn't exactly impressive so far either. I don't think Cleveland scores an offensive touchdown on sunday.

Even the worst team in the NFL can pull off a huge game on occasion if the sun and stars align. They might be completely inept but you better belive they're hungry and will air the ball out to test our secondary.

Jamal Lewis probably took one look at his average and our yards per carry allowed and opted to "rest" his "injury".

Reminder: although it's perfectly fine to predict a Ravens win, this is a "no smack" forum. Be careful how you refer to our respected divisional opponent. No name calling, please. If you start using insulting terms to refer to the Browns, you can expect a troll attack that will make you want to hurl. That's why this is a "no smack" forum.

Thanks.

So....can I still call the Bengals the "Bungholes"? :(
