Next up is the Browns at The Bank. How to you think our Defense will fair against the Browns Passing, and run. Cribbs is just as dangerous as sproles. All Week 3 talk here. What are your thoughts guys?

We'll take care of business.

The Browns put up a miserable performance against Minnesota's running game so that should work to our advantage, and if it doesn't, they also had a very poor pass defense against Kyle Orton and the pass-happy Bronco's.

Oh and did I mention our defense is going to be rock solid against the run at the very least if not pass.

The secondary is going to be much improved against the doo doo's just watch. Match that with our stout run D and the Flacco Air show and i smell a win.

talk about opposite ends of the offensive spectrum from the Chargers to Browns

we should be able to stop them pretty easily, I don't see the Browns more-plainer-than-their-helmets-offense doing anything against our D. Cribbs might have a couple of nice gains here and there but not consistent or big enough to sustain a TD drive.

Coming off of week 1 the Ravens worked on Special Teams. Coming off of week 2 I'm more than certain that the Ravens will work on their secondary. They are going to have to if they want to pull an upset on the New England Patriots AND the Indianapolis Colts. Now that's there more footage to watch on the opposing team, we can start learning their schemes. However, they know our weakness (which I hope we fix).

Relax...Im not worrired about the Browns.

I agree. I'm not worried about Cleveland. Last week when we played KC, I was already looking forward to the Chargers game thinking it was an easy win. I am thinking the same thing for next week, this should be an easy win so I'm looking forward to Week 4 when we have to travel to NE.

We are going to eat them Offense and Defense. I predict a very long day for Quin as we are going to focus on run stop. Everyone raise there hands thinking Quin can burn us like Rivers. Not even close.

While I am still frustrated from Baltimore's defensive performance today, I think they rebound next week. Cleveland does not possess the same weapons on offense as the Chargers.

As for our offense, I don't forsee another 30+ point performance. I think the Browns will show up hungry for a win and will play us tough. We'll still win, but it'll be closer than most people will expect.

The Ravens D will have a bounce back game in front of the home crowd. The Browns don't have the passing attack that the Chargers have, and the Ravens will shut down the run for the 3rd straight week. I see Baltimore really controlling this game on both sides of the ball. 28-10 Ravens

I agree with this post. I do think the Browns will put up a better dog fight than most of us are expecting.

I will go 27 - 20 or 27 - 17 Ravens.

I think this should be another career high day for Flacco, like the Kansas City game. I also have a feeling after this coming week (if they are not already) the dog pound is going to be calling for Quinn's head...aka Derek Anderson's return to starting qb.

The Ravens defense has a history of laying eggs to the tune of one or two a season and never back to back, that being said never underestimate a divisional opponent, especially the Browns.

I just hope that the team can be focused on this week and not looking to far ahead like many people on this board. This is the NFL people. One Game At A Time.

To beat the Browns we need to:

*Stop messing around and give the ball to McGahee instead of Rice. Face it he is a better between the tackle runner and has 4 TDs for us so far whereas Rice has 0(his whole career). Rice should be supporting him not the other way around.

*Stop passing so much in the beginning! We are having Joe throw it for no reason when we should be running the ball to open up the pass. I saw us pass last week and this week to open up the game wondering why we werent taking advantage of a poor run defense.

*PRESSURE Quinn! Suggs, I'm sorry but you need to show me you are worth that contract because you couldn't beat a beat up McNeill on one on one rushes. On a good note, I like how JJ has been playing. I always thought maybe we could have started someone better than him but Im wrong Jarrett has shown he plays with a lot of intensity. Also, maybe activate Kruger for a game....what a waste of a 2nd round pick if you arent gonna activate him as depth/situational downs

*Fire the secondary coach. Disgusted by our secondary today.

*Keep the DL fresh. Switch guys out more often so they can break up the OL more consistently.

I don't want to sound like I hate my team, which isn't the case, but we should be concerned when Phillip Rivers with a beat up line throws for almost 500 yards. We made some dumb mistakes and miscommunications.

Also, I fear the day Ray Lewis retires. He truly is the BEST linebacker in history and I don't care about what you say about Lawrence Taylor or Dick Butkus because no one is more clutch than 52.

EDIT: Suggs 1.5 sacks, 2 TFL, 2 QB hits. Good stats but not great stats.

I expect the Ravens to win but ofcourse no NFL game is a gimmie, My biggest worry is Josh Cribs returning kick offs for TD's... I hope we just kick it out of the end zone  Anyway I will be at the game, section 538 row 1.

I agree with this, we passed the ball a few times on the Chargers today on 3rd and 2 and one in particular was the Flacco pick he threw when Marriman grazed him and the play before we did the trick play to Rice who should have had alot more than he did on that play! All we needed was a few more yards to be in better field goal range so we could have went up by two scores and we need to take the Bill Parcell approach sometimes!Sometimes play just to get in better field goal range(screw trying to always look for the big play or the TD), especially if you know you can go up by two scores with 5 minutes left in the game!

Also, I do believe McGahee should get his staring role back, he is looking real good but thats not to take anything from Rice!

Everything else you have in bold, I agree with!

The problem is did we pick the wrong guy for defensive co-ordinater. Offense is good, but the defense has taken a quick nose-dive. Unless we address that issue, we are going to have another disappointing season. Hey, John Harbaugh, its ok to have a good offense, and defense as well. Raven fans need both....The ravens will win against the browns, but if they give a lot of yardage for the third week in a row, I will start to worry. Remember, we havn't gotten to the tough teams yet!

Reminder: although it's perfectly fine to predict a Ravens win, this is a "no smack" forum. Be careful how you refer to our respected divisional opponent. No name calling, please. If you start using insulting terms to refer to the Browns, you can expect a troll attack that will make you want to hurl. That's why this is a "no smack" forum.

Thanks.

Browns should be 0-3 by the end of next week. Brady Quinn is just awful and it seems as if they have no defense to counteract that.

I know its a divisional opponent and its hard for teams to go 0-3 to start the season but this is just one of those games that the Ravens have to win and I believe they will.

I don't think they will have any answer for our offense and they definitely do not have the caliber QB and WR's that San Diego has. Not to mention they do not have Darren Sproles.

The only thing that the Browns bring to the table is Josh Cribbs. Just kick it away from him and we should be just fine.

I will be making my annual pilgrimage to Baltimore to see my favorite team play you all yet again.

I'm usually a very optimistic person when it comes to Browns games but honestly I really don't see a way we can win this one. I don't think a lot of Browns fans wanted to admit what I saw before the preseason even began; we're just not a good team right now. With the exception of a handful of great position players (Thomas, Cribbs, Jackson, sometimes "stonehands" Edwards) we just lack depth and talent. Mangini I do believe will end up being a solid overall coach but the truth of the matter is he inherited a very bad team.

I'm hopeful for a victory but also realistic as well; it would be an enormous upset if Cleveland somehow left Baltimore with a win.

When do you think they give Anderson a shot?

Honestly I don't really know but my guess is that it would be sooner rather than later. Our bye week this year is week 9 so maybe they give Quinn half of the season? Perhaps he gets the full season? Mangini really has no ties or loyalties to Quinn since he was drafted by the previous management brigade and I believe he was chosen as the starting QB because he'd shown in games and practice to make LESS mistakes than Anderson. At this point he's just not showing much to give a lot of confidence in the offense.

On the other hand though yesterday's game was only his FOURTH career start; maybe he just hasn't had enough playing time to get through his rookie lumps? It's easier being a rookie QB on a good/great team (Flacco/Ryan) but with Quinn being the guy on what is already a bad team it just won't help the cause. Similar case and point with Matt Stafford..

Yeah, I see that but I always thought the Browns had a better shot at winning games now with Anderson than I ever did with Brady Quinn. Anderson had some problems last season and the horrible coaching mistakes didn't help in those early season games. Not to mention that Braylon Edwards dropped so many passes for him last year and Kellen Winslow was running his mouth more often than playing football.

I don't know. It may be my hatred for Notre Dame that makes me biased towards Anderson. And if Mangini isn't enamored with Quinn, why not just give the veteran a shot? Quinn just looks lost out there right now and he can't compensate for the lack of a running game and a defense that may give up a few points. I see a lot of Kyle Boller in Brady Quinn.

I think Anderson unfairly became the scapegoat last year when the whole team was bad; everyone wanted to pin it all on him and he sucked at times but everyone (Cribbs excluded) had their awful moments. I also agree that Braylon and Kellen did Anderson absolutely no favors last year. Braylon is in a contract year and in my opinion he will be gone after this season; I think he'll command too much money and management won't want to pay it.

As far as Quinn I think he just needs to not try so hard. I believe he was the right choice when the season began because based upon his limited gametime last year and this preseason he did look better and made less mistakes; for whatever reason that isn't happening right now. I think Quinn just needs to relax but my guess is he tries too hard when we get down early because we're not a good enough team to bounce back from a huge defecit. It doesn't help also that he just isn't on that great of a team.

If football were also a 30 minute game our defense would look stellar; we totally stink in the 2nd half so far.
