Congrats to Frank Walker, he has officially taken the title of most hated Raven back from Chris Carr. Two weeks in a row his agressiveness has cost us.

I will take Frank Walker game play any day over a CB just going out and flat out getting burnt on a pass play. I much rather see Frank commit a pass interference penalty than see him laying in the dirt well the WR takes it to the house. :scared2:

The more I've thought about it, the less I blame Frank for his performance yesterday. For one, the coaches should have cut him after the way he played in pre-season. They decided to keep him because he provides depth. Okay. Even though it wasn't all his fault(Reed bumped into him on one of the big plays), Washington got lit up in the first half. He gets benched by the coaches and they put Frank, who's history speaks for itself, in the game to cover a receiver who's bigger and faster than him.

Oh please, let's face it - Walker sucks. He should never have made the roster this year. I blame coaches/Ozzie for this debacle

+1 gazillion.

i feel that people come down to hard on frank. think about the plays where he commited the penaltys and both times they resulted in 3 points instead of 6. so i would have rather have him out there than carr. on the play where washington got blasted in the end zone carr just watches.

we need to find a way to make our cbs physical with that great speed they have cuz so far they look like a bunch of sissy when a runner breaks into the secondary. Ocho cinco exposed foxworth and now every one will be gunning for him its time for him to man up and make his paycheck.

I'll take 10-20 yard strikes on the middle then a 50 yard pass interference penalty any day because he was beat deep.

Fitting, considering our cornerbacks look like dancing monkeys out there.

the problem is: we have no other guy on the roster who fits in. we need gettin it done with the guys we have. webb could be the longterm answer, but is he just ready for the moment. on special teams i think so, but on defense? i´m not so sure...i´m just sad about those three games. especially the last one with all the haunt, comin from behind. allready dead an then so close to win it....

let´s face it: offense is defenetly playoff material. defense is not!!!! hope that changes till the bronco game...

Pretty much. At least we have a week off to re-evaluate our problems on defense.

Why was Frank Walker matched up on Sidney Rice anyway?
And with no safety help. A truely mind boggling decision

They better the use the week well. There are too many problems on the defensive side of the ball.

Seriously what about Washington on Sunday, if you cant cover Sidney Rice, then what #2 can you cover in the league?

An "Honour Du-el", perhaps?

You were right, though. That's what they looked like on a couple of plays out there.

Well, how come anybody isn't talking about Terence Oglesby on here? He had a pretty great preseason, so where is he at? Oh yeah, that's right, we released him because "Frank Walker is better". No.

It's Evan Oglesby and people have brought him up. Still, there's no guarantee Oglseby could stay with Sidney Rice for 60 yards though. He probably wouldn't draw as many penalties as Walker does though.

Is Webb ready to be our nickel?

Well, we felt he was a bit of a project when we drafted him, and expected him to take a year or two to develop. If he were to take on that role now, he would likely take some lumps, but playing against #3 receivers and going in on blitz packages would help smooth that transition.

What's the worst that could happen? He'd get burned, draw penalties and flat out suck.

What are the other options at nickel? We can let Walker and Carr keep playing, both of whom get burned, draw penalties and flat out suck.

Nothing to lose and possibly a whole lot to gain by handing the reigns over to Webb. If nothing else he gets some valuable experience.

I honestly agree here. Whynot have him cover the rookie receivers as the nickel? I'd like to see him do some work. But we probably won't see anything until our game against the Browns.

Thats what Im saying about Kruger too, how much worse could he be than our abysmal pass rush right? Let him run down the field on STs and actually contribute to either side of the ball that half our ST'ers dont contribute to at all.
