Apologies To Frank Walker

132 posts in this topic

Congrats to Frank Walker, he has officially taken the title of most hated Raven back from Chris Carr. Two weeks in a row his agressiveness has cost us.

When Favre threw the ball deep on that last play, I was thinking to myself

.....I bet it's Frank Walker covering someone and got burned deep

You get a +1 after today...

It's almost sad how some things in life are so predictable.

I didnt get to see the game today....do I get to torture the Clayton lovers this week again?

Landry needs to step up right now, he has been a disappointment. Walker and Carr are an example of coaches having faith in a player from watching them in practice. Note to coach: this is not the practice field, cut them now so they won't take up space on the flight home from Minn.

On the nose, Neeps... Not to mention, Webb has supplanted Carr as KR and probably PR soon enough. It might be time to cut ties with Mr. Carr.

It's not just Laundry, where has Ed Reed been all year. Like seriously.

I don't know what annoys me more. Seeing Fabian or Walker trying to cover any respectable receiver, or having Favre throw a ball at the ceiling and hope a guy comes down with it. In this case, Frank Walker decides to jump on the guys back and pull his jersey. Why doesn't he make it a little more obvious?

Umm...Ed Reed just returned a INT last week for a TD...Do you want him to have a INT every game? He did have 5 tackles today too.

I know Ed Reed is a beast and all, but he can't do it all w/o the help of the other backs...

:D :D

Clayton actually had 3-57-1 - but you can still bring up the point that Joe threw 8 passes to him, and he came up with three...

This forum is a study in human nature - I'll bet we have 50 new posters register in the last 6 hours, to screech that all is lost. Where are these people when 3 game winning streaks erupt?

I guess they're proving "misery loves company"...

Frank played better than Fabian hence why Fabian got pulled. Yeah those penalities sucked but if Fabe was out there they would have both been touchdowns instead of field goals.

Frank Walker is the worst thing to hit the NFL since Corey Ivy.
At least Ivy could blitz. Walker has nothing to offer any real defense.

Edit: Walker has nothing to offer a defense, but seriously I'll take him trying his butt off, to Fabian and Foxworth playing like weins.

There was no pass rush on that play. When a QB has about 6 seconds to throw, and there's single coverage, someone's getting a big play.

Is there anything Frank does well? There's being "physical" and there's committing unnecessary and foolish penalties because you can't cover. He isn't fast enough to keep up with people and he really isn't that good of a tackler. I don't see Harbaugh cutting him because there aren't any players that much better than him on the roster but what has he done to stay on the roster?

I wasn't even going to take it that far....Walker has never even started for teams like the Giants when they desperately needed a CB or Green freaking Bay a couple years ago.

He's not up to lesser defenses' standards, much less ours.

But then I realized I'm tired of wasting my time debating over a scrub, so, meh.....people can kneel at the Walker altar if they wish. I'll be hear to read their posts after some unheard of bum lights Walker up and listen to what excuse is made.
It takes time for a player to develop into a starter. AD didn't start until he was near 30 years old. Don't give me them BS replies. I'm saying right hear in the present I would make an argument whether to start Foxworth or Walker. In a physical game i'd choose Walker. I don't either on an island though.

I'm not 100% sure on this, I should look it up. But I think he leads the league at running his mouth. He's a real jabber out there.

No, you're right. It's totally reasonable to believe that a guy who has been a bum for seven years will suddenly turn it around.

I thought he does a nice job keeping the benches warm...

seriously though.. w/o him we might be 2-4... or 4-2..
but we would have def lost to SD

Walker is an average CB as is Foxworth. Giants and Packer had and have CB depth like the Ravens. Walker did as good on an island as Foxworth.

I know they can't. It's even tougher to do when the QB can side-step a man and uncork a bomb down-field. However, I would've had more respect for him had he simply got beat. He was getting burnt, pulled on Rice's jersey and STILL gave up the catch. He's truly a study in mopishness...

Definitely. I know CBs are supposed to have short memories but Frank could get beat dozens of times. If he makes one play on the ball and forces an incompletion, the whole stadium hears about it.

Ya the Packers have had Woodson and Harris since 06 and 02 respectively. But theres no denying that Walker is bad in coverage, but when it comes down to it really, Fox and Fabian have been just as bad. Literally Flynismo we need to goto that open tryout tomorrow. :ICONATOR_01040da29c18a4eed76047

And take the dancing monkey with us to see how he does.

Foxworth came in to start. Fabian AND Walker were expected back-ups. I think the latter two exceeded expectations. Why do we have two back-ups starting?

Sorry, but didn't you hear? Mrs. Bokhari (my mother), a math teacher from Chicago has reportedly signed a 5 year $39 million contract. It is rumored that she would've signed for the league minimum, but in Ozzie's words,

"We trust that this 47 year-old will be a future stud on our team. Signing this contract guarantees that once she breaks out, she will stay with out team."

Well, looks like our CB problems have been solved, for she has used Trigonometry to read where the WR's routes lead. Thank goodness!
