whogive a $%*$..lol

He's supposed to be a fourth quarter comeback king or something with a 107 passer rating. I'd like to know how we did, despite what our secondary gave up.

How sickening: Geico Play of the Day goes to Mark Sanchez on his 3rd quarter td toss! Not even as big of a play as what Ray just did!!!! Stupid networks and sponsors....

Frank Walker is <not my favorite player>, but I will surely give him the credit he deserve for that play.

Oh my, that game was too close for my little heart.

How many times in previous seasons has it come to one last drive and instead of stopping them on 4th down we give up the game winning touchdown?

This is what's different 09 Mattison Defense, bend but don't break.

We bent a lot, 400 pass yards to be specific but we came away with a win and not to mention.

Control of the AFC North!

San Diego is indeed a tough place for visitors. I've been there for a couple of games and it is VERY loud, and the fans are VERY obnoxious....and that was just for the fans...

You have to at least give Mattison and Ray Lewis credit for that last drive; instead of melting down as we've done every year, we made the stop when it mattered most and won. If this was a Rex Ryan game, the blitz on that final play would've been the death of us since Rivers would've recognized it and gone for the play action over the top for the TD.

I'd agree he played like crap the first half of last season, but he did step up big time the second half of last season.

Oh no don't get me wrong, that was a compliment to the Mattison D vs Ryan D.

We came away with a win on defense, that's what matters.

Well I was watching the game from start to finish but it was too exciting for me to get away for a second to use the computer so here's my thoughts:

First off everyone needs to stuff it about how "short-handed" the Chargers are. Every time the Ravens did something all I heard from the commentators was "Oh but the Chargers have injuries", and whenever the Chargers did something they acted like it was a miracle because of how "short-handed" they are. Now we've got the recap on ESPN saying "The Ravens vs. the short-handed Chargers", come on now, please.

Second Willis looked great but how about Kelley Washington making the big plays. Best receiver we had out there today.

Lastly and appropriately, our secondary was awful. Horrible. No excuses. Our front seven played great all game stuffing the run, putting pressure on to force turnovers, but our secondary was plain bad. Every single one of them except oddly enough Frank Walker who SAVED it for us at the end. Ray Lewis made a phenomenal game-winning play but he never has a chance to if Frank Walker doesn't knock the ball out of the receiver's hand on that would-be touchdown pass.

Fox and Fab need to eat their veggies, because apparently all it takes is a tall receiver to beat them.

Phew, we won. Thank God. Let's fix our secondary issues and be better.

Goes to show what a 6'5" receiver would do for us...

A win is a win is a win... we are 2-0 and in sole possession of 1st place in the AFC North. It's gonna be a good week :)

Well, the Chargers were 0/5 in the redzone today! The defense was worrying me today but that 0/5 in the redzone REALLY prevented us from losing this game!

Key stat of the game:

SD: 5 Red Zone possessions, 4 FG and Turnover on Downs

BAL: 3 Red Zone possession, 3 TD

That is why we won today; our D may have bent, but we sure didn't break.

Did ESPN do a recap of our 08 short-handed season when we went to the AFC championship?

This is the same thing i was thinking, oh well thats how the media is set up. Just like how they loath USC even if they lost to a team that went 0-12 last year.
