Keshawn Johnson Vs Derrick Mason

5 posts in this topic

How do Keyshawn Johnson call our recieving corps bums. We have a decent recieving corps, now where do he get the nerve he was cut from a team and no one wanted him for two years before he stop pursuing a career in the nfl.

Career Totals:
Derrick Mason
187 games, 794 receptions, 10108 yards, 54.1 yards per game, 52 TD's. 0 super bowl ring

Keyshawn Johnson :
167 games, 814 receptions, 10,571 yards, 63.3, yards per game, 64 TD's. 1 super bowl ring

If my memory serves me correctly didnt keshawn come in the league ahead of ray lewis, johnathon ogden, marvin harrison, and derrick mason. He was the first to be cut from a team and hasn't played since then marvin was just cut and johnathon retired here we have mason still playin more productive reciever and probaly will end his career this year by choice not force.

The stats don't really help prove your point but I will say this: The Bucs would have won that Super Bowl even if Keyshawn Johnson had never been born.
Without Derrick Mason, neither the Ravens or the Titans accomplish what they did with him.

I think that anyone who believes Derrick Mason to be a bum is in the minority.

Plus, he's a pretty awesome guy. Something Keyshawns' NEVER been accused of being.

Keyshawn Johnson entered the draft in 1996 as a first round/first pick
Derrick Mason entered the draft in 1997 as a fourth round/pick 98

Keyshawn started right away for the New York Jets while Derrick spent a couple of years on Special Teams before becoming the starting WR, but their numbers still pretty much even up!
