It's being reported that the Colts Gonzalez could be out until at least week 7 maybe week 9. Being in a deep league, the #2 on the Colts is a desirous pick up. But who will it be?

Collie, Garcon or Baskett?

Collie, Garcon are both Rookies and Baskett just joined the team. I feel like its best to wait until after the Monday night game to move on one of these guys. But by that time, it might be too late. Anyone else looking at these three?

at the Wide Receiver position the experience will almost always beat out the rookie, mainly due to the fact that it takes 3 or so years to develop as a WR in the league

Well so far it's Garcon. But he's got only 1 catch for a TD.

Both Baskett and Garcon are gone in my league now. But luckily I have Dallas Clark. How should really beneift from A Gonzales being out.

I was able to snag him this morning. The people before me let him fall down the waiver wire. They picked up Johnny Knox , Forsett and Sims-Walker before Manningham.

IMO Manningham is the best out of that bunch. Though I do like Sims-Walker since Troy Williamson is out for the year.

As you can see, we have a very deep, competitive league. Lot's of reaching.

lol, imo the way you win leagues is by the smaller named players.... any one can pick the big named guy... shoot last year I practically won the championship off of the waiver wire

I agree 100%. It's all about tweaking the line-up. Last year I started 0-2 but was able to get Steve Slayton & Eddie Royal and Cassell off the waiver wire. Ended up going to the Championship game.

Some teams never understand why they keep losing. It's usually because they draft a team and leave it at that. The best FF players know how important picking up small name guys are before they make it big.

I like and hate 2 of my fantasy teams for the same reason.... they look pretty beastly beastly

for instance

FFB team 1:
QB Matt Schaub
RB Chris Johnson
RB Ray Rice
WR Andre Johnson
WR Vincent Jackson
WR Mario Manningham
TE Brent Celek
K Lawerence Tynes
DST Packers

Bench:
Matt Ryan
Tim Hightower
Leon Washington
Donald Driver
Devery Henderson

Team 2:
QB: Matt Ryan
RB: Matt Forte
RB: Tim Hightower
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Marques Colston
TE: Antonio Gates
Q/W/R/T: Felix Jones
DST: Packers
IDP-
DT: Haloti Ngata
DE: Antwan Odom
LB: Demarcus Ware
CB: Dominique Rodgers Cromartie
S: Danieal Manning
Bench:
Todd Heap
Donald Driver
Desean Jackson
Mario Manningham
Chargers DST

for some reason I always feel I end up with a pretty straight Receiving corps

Are you sure Gonzo will be out that long? I have had him on fantasy bench since the get-go and not offered him up in any trade proposal. I need a P. Manning receiver, but am set on the other side with Randy Moss (but he concerns me now due to injury) and Anquan Boldin while Gonzo is out (assuming Gonzo can crack into the starting lineup). Worst case scenario if I keep him is he would be good trade bait if he comes back effectively. I am very loaded at TE with Jason Witten and Heath Miller. RB is where I suffer with Ray Rice and Leon Washington. Both are capable of big games, but I need a STUD RB for s truly superior club in my league.

just for a heads up if your thinking about trade bait while you draft/pick up from waiver wires, usually think WR or RB... and sometimes QB, not unheard of to get some nice prizes in return for putting one of those types on the block...
