If I have to jolt half way across the field to make a tackle because the corner back couldn't stay with their man I would be hurt to...

Well its posted on this site under Injury Report, so its real. Let's hope these are minor. Ed participated in practice (limited), so that's at least good. Zibi I knew about, but Suggs is a total surprise :( .

I wouldn't worry about it. SD is a big game for us- they just want to rest the most important players for as long as possible. Suggs/Reed will play =)

This concussion stuff is getting ridiculous...Humanitarian groups will pressure the Govt and in 20 years all contact sports will be banned, you watch.

The Suggs injuries are new to me as well. I assume that it has to be minor injuries as he played the entire game on Sunday and i'm almost positive that he couldnt have hurt himself in practice yesterday or else we would have saw something probably posted by Mike Duffy.

Not to worry folks. Reed is a veteran. He spent many a days on the injury report last year, but always showed up to play.

"Practice? Practice? We talking bout Practice."

Suggs will be ready to go as well. Looks like we'll still be as healthy as an ox come game day.

As far as people who didn't know about Suggs, I was at the game last Sunday so I'm not sure if it was shown on the TV cameras, but early in the game Suggs went in for a group tackle and came out noticeably woozy. He kind of stumbled a little toward the sideline and called for a sub. He returned not long after and played well so I assumed it was no big deal, but I'm sure that's where the concussion part came from. Probably pretty mild since he came back in, but they're probably being extra cautious with their 63 million dollar man.

I think Teams in all sports have been getting more and more cautious when it comes to concussions, because they are just now starting to understand them better. There have been so many athletes that have had their careers shortened due to concussions. If this was a serious concussion to a player of Sugg's caliber it would be all over the place already. This is probably just precautionary.

I just read here http://blogs.baltimoreravens.com/?p=945 that Suggs and Reed are expected to play, they participated in the portion of practice that is open to the media. Also, LJ Smith participated in practice as well. If he can play it would be nice.

Seriously, that's all great news. Duffy made me breathe a lot easier.

Duffy-on-the-spot with the news updates! I wonder if he reads the forums?

Keep in mind that PFT has never been a reliable source. According to CBS Sports, Suggs has a rib and stomach injury, not a concussion, and Reed's concussion is only a mild one. Anyways, all three of them are expected to suit up on Sunday.

Suggs just doesn't like practicing, straight-up.

He has a concussion and chest injuries? What?
“He’s really 100 percent, but he has a little soreness in his stomach,” Mattison said.
Sizzle's excuses to get out of practice are getting to be absurd, but I guess I don't really care if he continues to perform.

Yeah, i noticed that two. Once it happened and i saw him get up slow then motion for a sub i got worried but he was right back in their like two plays later so i didnt even think about it anymore after that. I heard it from someone on the radio today that that was the play that he got hurt on.

He has a rib injury, didn't you see in the Chiefs game when he had to leave for a few plays?

Reed is going to be on a lot of injury reports for the rest of his career. Just face it, with his neck injury and age he wont be practicing more than 2 or 3 times a week. He's just so good that he has the ability to show up on gameday without many practice reps.
