The guy screwed up, but messing with his home is wrong no matter how you look at it!!
These fans went too far. Tom Brady's lawn? Different story entirely.
HAMBURG, N.Y. — The front lawn of a home belonging to Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin was vandalized following Buffalo's season-opening loss to New England.

Hamburg police on Tuesday confirmed the home of a Bills player was vandalized, but declined to release details of their investigation after an obscenity and the score of Monday night's game — a 25-24 loss to the Patriots — were painted in white on the player's lawn in suburban Buffalo.

McKelvin fumbled a kickoff return with under two minutes to play and the Bills leading 24-19. Three plays later, New England's Tom Brady hit Benjamin Watson for the go-ahead touchdown as the Patriots overcome an 11-point deficit in the final 2:06.

I can understand their frustration. The Patriots are like our Steelers but worse. They had their arch enemy beat, just "Hold onto the ball Donny!" 12 straight losses. A chance for a victory to start the season, all to be ruined and handed to the Pats on a silver platter by a over-zealous kick returner.

Them the breaks. If you mess with the bull your going to get the horn.

(as for the vandalizers, just some slo-mos taking out their drunken rage my guess)

The worst part is, it wasn't entirely McKelvin's fault that the loss happened as it did; technically, the Bills defense didn't do itself any favors by allowing Brady to score so easily. The ball was on the Bills' 31-yard line, sure, but Brady got into the endzone so effortlessly that it made you wonder whether the Bills even played defense that night at all. They kept the Patriots offense reasonably in check all night until the 4th quarter, so to collapse like that even after a turnover as deflating as McKelvin's speaks to the simple fact that the Bills aren't ready for the pressure of primetime.

Buffalo's given us some memorable primetime games in recent years, but their being on the losing end each time shows that they can't handle the pressure. Had the Bills truly "deserved" to win the game, they would've played true 60-minute football and persevered in spite of the fumble. Instead, the Bills looked like they were lost and truly stunned after the turnover.

It's not cool to attack his property like that. He has a family and stuff like that can come off as hostile.

If I were a Bills fan I would have sent him a **** bag in the mail with a note saying "This is what you are."

I TOTALLY blame him for the loss. All he had to do was take a knee for a touch back. But he ran it anyway. Which looked to be fine, then 2 guys jumped on him and he tried to fight for more yards when all he had to do was take a knee.

The offense would have most likely ran the clock down the whole way or picked up yardage for a decent punt into the 20. If I am Dick Jauron and I know my job is on the line, I am chewing McKelvin out for making a stupid mistake and not protecting the football.

Should have had thousands of Butterfingers all over his lawn
No, actually vandalizing his yard is perfect. It represents your idea perfectly. Butterfingers don't fit exactly, but the theory does. How?

McKelvin made a bad decision to take it out of the end zone.
Angry Fans made a bad decision vandalizing his lawn.

Essentially, they left a giant bad decision in front of his house.

I knew what you meant by butterfingers. But the fumble wasn't what really "lost" the game. Yes, it was the play that turned the ball over to NE, but had he done the smart move and down the ball, there would have been no return, and therefore no fumble. So in the end, it was his bad decision of making a return when he should have downed it that lost it.

Either way its his fault. The fact that he did run up field with the ball was dumb but he could have taken a knee the first time a player grabbed him. He made 2 consecutive mistakes on the KO and paid for it.

On the field and in the locker room yes. No one has the right to mess with his home for any reason PERIOD.

I wasn't justifying his yard and home being vandalized. He doesn't deserve that. Because when it comes down to it at the end of the day, it is just a game. Even if we the fans feel it's more than that :P

Nah, I knew you weren't referring to me. It always kind of upsets me to see fans do things like this, or rioting when their team does/doesn't win. It takes something that's supposed to be fun and enjoyable, and ruins it.
