According to the Ravens Insider...Ravens brought in TE Davon Drew for a tryout today. Drew was cut by Baltimore, claimed by Miami, then given an injury settlement by Dolphins.

I was disappointed when we cut him but not so sure about him now. Any thoughts?

Well they wanted to stash him on the practice squad originally. And it looks like they might get their wish now.

what was the deal with the injury settlement? did the phins just make room by doing that or was he really "injured"?

Glad to see Drew back, I was very interested in seeing how he'd progress. Naturally, I was sad to see him go to Miami, but seems things worked out. It'd be great to see a young tight end eventually on the Ravens.

Good news seeing as LJ's status could possibly be up in the air for more than a couple of weeks. I think Drew will be pretty solid once he develops some more and improves those hands.
