I thought for sure there would be a thread on this but I didnt see one.

You know the play I am refering to. The player was tackeld prior to the ball crossing the end zone, ball poped out and was recoverd in the end zone.

I thought you coudldnt advance the ball on a fumble.

All the announcers said it was NOT a touch down but the challange flag was never thrown.

I believe the rule is, A teammate cannot advance the fumble, However the same player can pick it up.


Also before the kickoff the announcer said He didn't realize he had recovered it, He thought the ravens did.

Also it looked like the ball broke the plane while he was in the air, so it that point it was a touchdown, didnt matter what happened after that. Him hitting the ground or fumbleing didnt matter. Its just like the steelers game and was probably so close they didnt throw it then cus even if they had one it would have been at the inch line.

He fumbled it, and then it crossed the goalline and the same person recovered

You can regain your own fumble for more yards

I remember against the stellers last year Holmes fumbled, it rolled forward about 20 yards and he regained it. I was mega pissed that they got about 20 more yards.

I think its a silly rule that should be changed unless one of you give me a good reason to not change it
