High School is High School, College isssss College, but this is the N.F.L. I hope Troy Smith is the answer in the future but I do not believe that is now. Anyone who has played football knows that from High School to College to the N.F.L. there are major jumps in the talent level. So we need to take our time with him and make sure we get him ready for the next step up in the talent level. We can not give up on the season yet, we have 8 more games to go. If we are knocked out of the play off race, then let's get him some field time.

One thing I can say about the young man is the last time I saw him, he was in B.W.I. Airport. The most important thing I saw in his hand was his Ravens playbook!!!!!

yep, all the great QB's that have played in this league, had to start off somewhere...and i dont mean start out at teh top, they were at rock bottom and worked theme selves up to stardom. Troy is just following in the foot-steps of previous quarterbacks before him, along with the tutulege of McNair, Boller, Neuhiesal and Ozzie.....im very excited about what Troy brings to the table, and once he's "Fully" developed as a Quarterback (making plays in the pocket, as well as on the run, He's also got alot of speed to him, he's fast)

Obviosly other teams were not blown away with Smith - I am not sure my take on him - but I woudl say take a top QB. Knowing this team we will probably take a linebacker

i would say that we would Stay with Troy, only because we drafted him in this year's draft and the guy has EXTREME potential and a heck of alot of talent. we dont need a quarterback at the moment. Troy is doing just fine with the way he's developing....a Stellar QB....underthe tutulege of the veterans around him, guiding him on wat to do and what not to do.

For One, Troy wanted to be in Baltimore, His College Career Speeks for itself, the Guy has virtually all the qualities that the Ravens are looking for in a Quarterback (Poise, a sense of humility, humbleness, composure, accuracy, vision, speed...the whole 10 yards) he just needs to be taught correctly in order for him to shine.

Is Troy Smith the answer, who knows. The only thing I do know is that Steve McNair was a great QB. Right now he is showing his age and all of the damage he has sustained over the years. Man I would hate to be him at 50.... OUCH! Anyway whether it is Troy Smith or Kyle Boller they are still going to have to run the plays that Brian "the offensive genius"Billick calls. By the way what is Ted Marchibroda doing now? Maybe he is available to run a clinic for Billick on how to run an offense. Bring back the good old days of No D and Vinny winging the ball all over the place. At least I didn't feel sleepy in my seat during those games. What ever the answer may be I really cannot wait. It would be nice to actually loose my voice at a game again. I haven't had a sore throat all season.

Troy isn't the answer here, he hasn't had enough time to develope as a player and we are not gonna ruin his ego by starting him. The past 2 games and a few other games this season Boller has been thrown under bus being put in half way through the 4th and scoring a TD. I say its time to go with cannon arm. Just make sure all the pass plays are over 10 yards so the players have time to react to the throw since Boller's only touch passs looks like a shot put.

Who else thinks that the idea of having Troy Smith UNDER Kyle Boller is totally inane? If anything, maybe START Troy over Steve to see how he can do....keep in mind, Troy Smith is a HEISMAN WINNER FROM OHIO STATE. This has been overlooked for way to long! Anybody with me on this one?

Well there is finally a true football fan that thinks about someone who can at least avoid the rush and move around in the pocket and throw to someone in purple get's a chance. I hear that everyone wants Kyle as the starter but if you been a fan for a while, it will be the same ol, stand in the pocket and can't move, stationary quarterback, and watch him take furcious hits cause our line can't block or let a mobile quarterback role out of pocket and throw on the run. THE MULE MAN

i think that's the reason he's fumbling alot in this season he just can't avoy any type of rush.

i think troy smith is the right joicy after seeing that mcnair now looks exactly like boller in the past few games.

Everyone keeps saying Troy Smith is not ready, Well how and when does he become ready , everyone has to start some where, if we keep saying, this ones not ready and that ones not ready, how will any player every build the confidence level they need on the field against true opponents. Playing time is what is going to create the confidence, in the way we been playing , why put Troy for a few snaps every game and let him gain some experience so eventually he can be fully ready.
