Heeeeap Is Back!

I was Over-Joyed to see my man Heap back in the mix today. I think he will give us a clear advantage on 3rd Downs and Some Redzone passing situations. He looked remarkable and very similar to the vintage Heap. Now we have so much to choose from on offense in terms of who we throw the ball to. This will give us a killer/monster play action against defenses this year.

I completely agree. Heap played a monster role in the game today and now defenses will have to account for him leaving more room for Clayton, Mason, and Rice out of the backfield. Kyle Boller never looked this effective even with a fully fit and younger Heap.

Exactamundoooo! If we can just tweak up our 2ndary a lil bit, we're gona give every team on our schedule the blues. The offense is very impressive though

Im not going all out to say Heap is back to his old form but the man is back in SOME form, played awesome! Deffinatly a great weapon

As long as he keeps up the good work, I think its fair to say he's back. He's healthy and Flacco can put the ball where he can catch it, he shouldnt have any problems.

I think with all the new talent on the O line they can start getting heap into the passing game. Last year he did a great job protecting Flaco now that the O line i see heap having a good season, maybe not his best but just gives Flaco another option and a good one too.

Heap is a great TE but never can stay healthy enough to produce every week. If he can stay healthy this year he could put up great numbers.

I'm not putting the health of Heap on him. It's not his fault he's getting injured.

Historically the way we've used him in the past sucked. Boller would always throw lead passes which led Heap to a devastating blow by a defender. We've been leading Heap into these type of defenseless hits for years.

Heap's done everything he's asked for. From making these tough catches when he knows he'll take a blindside hit. To blocking more for a rookie QB and young OL.

It's about time we pay Heap back with better QB play and fade routes to the outside. He'll pay huge dividends for us if we use him correctly. With better QB play, Heap will stay healthier. No more of this Boller crap, where he constantly used Heap as a safety blanket.

Heap was in the mix more last season than ever. He was busting his a** blocking on every down protecting Flacco. Just because a guy isn't putting up huge numbers and scoring touchdowns doesn't mean he isn't heavily contributing to the team. It was necessary for him to block last year with Flacco being in his rookie year and our Oline still geling. Now that the oline has more experience, and Flacco has more confidence Heap will be running more routes.

I just can't believe how many of you guys are saying; Where was Heap last year, he didn't do anything...

No, but technically its his fault that it takes him so long to recover from injury...but thats his personal choice so I cant fault him too much.

Heap looked good yesterday, the sky's the limit for him when he's healthy. Hopefully LJ Smith will make a full recovery from his injuries to make our receiving corps even more dangerous. Just imagine the two of them both picking apart defenses... they will be constantly off-balance, and then when they play the defenders up closer to the line, then flacco throws a bomb like the one we saw yesterday, and they're done!

I dont know about everyone else but i never lost faith in him. I understood the blocking role he was used for last year whitch i didnt agree with, but talent like his needs to be used example the KC game

i never said he didnt do anything. It was pretty obvious that he wasnt involved in the offense in terms of catching passes.thats the Heap we love to watch. Not to disregard his other contributions. But,the pass catching Heap is the Advantage we need against these top5 defenses.Especially to give us more options on offense to get 1st downs and score points

I never lost faith in him. However,i felt that if he couldv stayed healthy,we wouldnt have used him more in a position other than TE
