Derrick Mason gave it back to Keyshawn Johnson and Cris Carter and I love it. Say what you want about out WR talent, but they're not taking any crap from armchair warriors...

Wow, Derrick. He probably should have kept his mouth shut because now they'll be all over him when he doesnt perform but I am glad someone finally has the guts or cares enough to call the "experts" on their piss poor anaylsis.

OT-Jay Cutler sucks. If he keeps playing like that McDanials will look like a genious.

Meh, I don't really think it's all about stats though. I mean to sit there on a nationally televised show and actually call another NFL player(s) a bum is just out and out rude. Meshawn may have better stats, but he was never a team player and was waaaaay overrated. Cris Carter should be in the HoF, and since I can't seem to confirm that he actually said the word bum like Meshawn did I guess I will refrain from comment, because Carter was damn good. To say the Ravens need offensive help is one thing, but to sit 'on high' in some studio and utter the words bums to one of the most underrated, overachieving receivers of his day in Mason is just shameful.

So what you're saying is you think Mason was wrong, they were right, and our WR's, including Mason, are bums? I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. I thought Mason was 'in the right' for drawing a line.

Mason is only 510 yards behind Keyshawn and should pass him this year. Also Mason started off his career as a return specialist for 3 years and did not get much of a chance as a wr because of it.

Mason hit it right on the head with keyshawn. I stopped watching ESPN's preshow when Keyshawn came on there. he says nothing intelligent and says too many comments like this for me to be able to watch it.

While i am thinking of it does anyone remember when keyshawn was with the panthers and doing the 2007 NFL Draft on the ESPN set? he was saying the panthers should draft a young wr. Well they did, they drafted Dewayne Jarrett and he was happy and saying he would take him under his wing. Then 3 days after the drafted he got released. And like Mason said he couldnt get back into the League.

Keyshawn Johnson is a joke!

I'm glad Mason took haste to Keyshawn's words.

Keyshawn just did a great thing for us. He provided season long motivation to our WR's. Thanks Keyshawn, for giving us a gift that keeps on giving.

Keyshawn is a bum himself. And a greedy selfish bum for that matter. He got to a point in his career where no teams wanted him. He benefited from being on a team with Bill Parcels (Jets) who had a great running back in C. Martin which opened up the passing game. And on a Superbowl Bucs team where is contribution was piss poor.

But anyways, Thanks Keyshawn for being the disrespectful fool that you are.

If all goes according to plan, D-Mase will finish this year with more receiving yards than MeShawn and a SB Ring, thereby double B-slapping these two egomaniacs. Glad to hear some fire from our wideouts.

Great point! I've always had the utmost respect for Mason, and absolutely none for MeShawn. My respect for Mason just skyrocketed, and somehow it's even less for that scrub Johnson. I was completely torn during that Super Bowl. I find it impossible to cheer for the Raiders, and couldn't stand the thought of Johnson winning a ring.

I hate watching the espn pre game show in the morning. I've switched to watching the nfl network. They actually know what they are talking about. Then I switch to the NFL today on cbs at noon.

Honestly, I like how Mason handled this. A lot of former player/coach analysts mouth off way too much(especially the ones on "ESPeoN". How can you call yourself a proffessional when you dismiss players who played the same position as you just because they don't have the hype or even production? If Mason calls Keyshawn "overrated", I'm going to believe him because he's definitely seen enough tape on Keyshawn through the years. Carter was a great receiver in his heyday but I'm sure he's bitter he's not in the Hall of Fame and is probably going to surrender some of his milestones to players like Mason.

Like I said, I agree with what he said about Keyshawn but he cant seriously call Carter a bum. He should have been like "Sorry Cris that our WR corps isnt you and Randy Moss because we know how successful that was. Wait, didn't you not win the superbowl that year?"

He didn't call Carter a bum, he said Carter's in the same boat he's in. No Super Bowl, except the difference is Mason's still playing. So Carter has no room to talk, and he doesn't.

I love this. The so-called football analysts brought their criticism to the Ravens directly and now it's firing up our offense. I will take it anyway I can get it. Could we possibly see some offensive players in the Pro Bowl this year?

Go Ravens.

Reason #6546546 to love Derrick Mason.

Yep. Now I know why he looked so fired up after his first catch.

Are you referring to Black Ravens fans or the media? Regardless, you can't force people to get excited over a win over a team no one expected anything from. Flacco's 300-yard effort was great and his poise in the pocket was Montana-esque at times but it could've been a 400-yard game had he made some better throws.
