Thanks Prophet.

I love how a Steelers fan posts on our board about comebacks. Just so he can show his team's QB on that list. This probably would be better suited for the Steelers board.

So you are proud your defense putting him in the situation to win games all the time?

Refresh my memory, who was that team back in 2000 who won a championship on defense alone?

Lol, I like how the guy that has the most comebacks is the only one without a championship win.

Ouch! Poor Danny.

it was the Oklahoma Sooners, winning a defensive battle 13-2 against the Florida State Seminoles to claim the National Championship. It was played in 2001 but counted towards the 2000 season

seriously though, thats nice that Big Ben is on track, but im not sure his body can hold up at this rate

Time to update Tom Terrific.
BAH! He didn't have to march down the field on the game winner. He was handed the ball on the twenty. Should not count for him or anyone.

Oh, come on now. How many games would that change for Big Jen if we didn't count stupid mistakes by the opposing team?
(In this case "stupid, stupid, stupid mistake." >.<)

Tom took the lead; it's as simple as that.

Uh-huh. But when Ben does it......nevermind. It's like clapping with one hand anyway.

"YAY TOM!!!"

That's the spirit! :D

Prophet, whatever happened to that Ray Lewis thread that you said you were going to make?

I'd prefer a quarterback who can usually dominate all four quarters rather than a comeback king. Of course, if he can do it all, that's fine too...

It is an interesting statistic, but I'd rather have a QB that is solid the enitre game, not just the second half ;). With regards to the Tennessee game, they were rushing 3 and 4 guys every play, with the time he was given, I could have made those throws and moved the ball down the field. As much as I hate to say it, the loss of Haynesworth for the Titans is a huge loss, in the past they have been able to just rush 4, and Haynesworth's big @$$ was able to still get there. They really can't do that anymore. I wouldn't be too pround of an offense whose game plan is for the defense to keep you in the game, play like crap for 3 quarters, then have your QB work some crazy 4th quarter voodoo and win the game ;)

I think there might be some sour grapes around here. We all know we'd be happy to have a team that either dominates the whole game OR has the capability to come back and win it at the end. As long as it's a win.

And, hey, JOHNNY UNITAS is tied for 2nd!!!

And you'd better move him ahead of John "I'll never play in Baltimore" Elway, if you know what's good for you, Prophet! :P

i have about a thousand in progress stat charts that im not ready to share with people yet

im a bit of a perfectionist :P

i just want to correct your statement about ben being able to be the come back king. Even your stats cleary show that fat head manning will be the next one to become the comeback king. i mean tom the terrible is even looking better than ben. im not hating just using your stats to correct your statement. its good to see your still around tho prophet hadnt seen a post from you a little while.

as warden stated tom, manning and clearly favre have played for longer than ben

ben averages 3 comebacks a season having 16 total in his sixth year(15 in first 5,1 this year so far)

tom has 5 more comebacks in his 10th year with 21(if ben stayed on track he would have 30)

favre has 11 more comebacks in his 19th year with 27 (ben would have 57)

Manning has 12 more comebacks in his 12th year with 28
(ben would have 36)

Marino has 20 more comebacks with 36 in 17 seasons
(ben would have 51)

he is on track to be the comeback king

and it is nice to be back

This actually supports your data. I'm glad you correctly counted Elways comebacks

yea thats actually what made me start this stat chart

i looked up a list of the 47 wins the broncos say he had and i realized that they were counting drives where he cameback and took the lead beore the fourth quarter even started.....those are not what we mean when we count comebacks

he had 13 wins that had to be discounted

every one else had one or two

the broncos were trying to pull a fast one on the league
