Can't answer the 1st part of your question but as to the 2nd part, the NFL is not like the MLB were you can watch the game via streaming vid on your computer (even with that you still have to pay to watch for baseball games)...you can sign up for audio via the computer but I have a feeling you want to watch not listen...

I'd suggest checking out your local sports bars...most of the chain sports joints (Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings come to mind) get Direct TV and then it's a question of asking them to put the game on if they haven't done so already
