Props From Pro Football Talk

I was browsing Profootballtalk.com today and read this, http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/09/12/preseason-power-rankings-no-8/

A nice little write up, the only thing I dissagree with is they mention Ed Reed as "on the back nine of his career" Now the other guys they mentioned I can agree with, but not Reed. He still has plenty of time infront of him.

Like it or not Ed is on the back 9 of his career not because of his age but becuase of that damned neck/shoulder injury. If it wasnt for that I would say he has a lot left in the tank.

Personally, I do better on the back 9 most of the time. And yes, Ed Reed is more than halfway done with his career, so he is on the back 9. Im not sure if that phrase is supposed to mean decline, but i wouldnt get too worked up about it. Eds getting older, theres no doubting that, but the entire secondary around him is under 26.

Ed Reed said he has contemplated hanging up his cleats. Expect him to retire if we win the Superbowl this year.

Can you imagine that...all of our seasoned vets going out on top. Mason, Reed, Lewis, (Birk?)....we would play like the 2002 Ravens again *shutters*. Without Lewis AND Reed we will be really messed up and Mason said this is his last year.

So...Brian Dawkings....
