ended up playing Pierre Thomas and picked up Tashard Choice last week.. both had great games.. CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

haha.. anyway.. pick 2 RBs from:

Marshawn Lynch (@MIA)
Tashard Choice (@DEN)
Pierre Thomas (NYJ)
Reggie Bush (NYJ)
Ryan Grant (@MIN)
Cadilac Williams (@WASH)
No Doubt. Marion the Barbarian is out - Choice #1 back.

I hate Saints running backs and they always leave you guessing. The Saints struggled a bit last week with an AFC opponent. Now they face a 3-0 AFC opponent. But they will be playing at home.

Lynch is back! Have him as well. Probably won't start him this week but I like his chances to get all the goal line touches this week.

You can rule out Cadiliac - 2 rushing attempts last week? Not even worth the chance.

So I would go with Choice and either Ryan Grant and Pierre Thomas. Thomas and Grant if Choice is out. If it were me Ryan Grant would get the nod.

struggled? Thomas put up over 120 yards and 2 TDs on 14 carries lol.. i agree with you on Choice, if Barber is out he is a MUST start in ALL leagues.. i also agree that you never know what you'll get from NO running backs, but if p. thomas keeps getting goaline carries, ill stick with him all year.. im just scared about Grant going up against the Vikings.. idk.. i guess ill just have to wait and see

I didn't mean Thomas struggled. The Saints as a whole against an AFC opponent, the finally won the game with 5 minutes left in the game and that's when the Bills collapsed. They should get a better showing from the Jets. Thomas was the only bright fantasy spot last week on the Saints.

tricky week for you....

Marshawn Lynch (@MIA) - Mia = 3rd in rush yds allowed/game (66.0)
Tashard Choice (@DEN) - Den = 7th in rush yds allowed/game (78.3)
Pierre Thomas (NYJ) - NYJ = 9th in rush yds allowed/game (82.7)
Reggie Bush (NYJ) - " "
Ryan Grant (@MIN) - MIN = 12th in rush yds allowed/game (92.0)
Cadilac Williams (@WASH) - WSH = 22nd in rush yds allowed/game (127.7)

All and all, benching Cadillac may bite u in the butt if you ask me. Derrick Ward's status is uncertain (held out of practice) while Cadillac participated fully. Lynch/Jackson are both to be avoided this week against a Mia rush D which has been flying under the radar so far. I also think both the Jets and Vikes have a better rush D than their ranking suggests making them both D's to stay away from with your RB's. While P. Thomas will most definitely always get more rush yds than R. Bush, Bush's ability and yds gained as a receiver out of the back field can be tricky to anticipate. Considering who Denver has played (Oak, Cin, Cle) their ranking may be a little bit padded considering the pitiful offenses. So the play on Choice may be a good one.
Min has yet to allow a rushing TD, Miami has allowed 1. Ryan Grant has not had a 100 yd game yet this season and only boasts a 3.7ypc but gets enough touches a game to be useful.
If I were you I would be selecting from among Choice, Thomas, and Cadillac with the outside chance of using Grant.

**Note - more like "warning" Josh Johnson will be making his first career start. WAS may load up the box and dare the kid to throw so, could spell trouble for the Bucs RBs on Sunday.

***Note - Jerry Jones said he expects Barber to start Sunday and will probably likely split carries with Choice

did someone say Flacco over Schaub?

I gave Flacco the nod over Kurt Warner last week and will continue to back our boy until he give me reason to do otherwise.

Here's a tough one, Gates or Olsen? I'm thinking Gates because SD play the Raiders and that D is BAD, but Cutler has really liked throwing to Olsen in the Preseason. But Oak will have the SD WR's on lock...at least on Namdi's side, so I figure the TE' wil get a lot of route over the middle....... Decisions Decisions
TE's are always a crapshoot...the kneejerk reaction is to go with the old standby "never bench your studs."
But 1. I'm not convinced Gates is a fantasy stud any longer in that offense and 2. who the heck else is gonna catch the TD's in Chicago.

If it were me, I'd go with Olsen, but I'm the gambling type....

For week 3
QB: Flacco or Schaub
RB: Stephen Jackson vs GB or Julius Jones vs CHI in a non PPR league
Flacco and Jackson.

Houston might blow out OAK, and a lot of the damage is probably going to be on the ground (think "running out the clock.") ....... (not to mention that Aso guy is kinda good)

It's a tempting situation.

I mean how can you bench Drew Brees. When he has a chance to go off on ANY team. Jets included. It's hard to bench the guy. He's the ultimate Stud. He struggled against an AFC team last week. And now he has a tougher AFC team. But the bright side is that he's at home in the dome.

Schaub on the other hand is a fantasy owners dream. Texans can't stop ANY team. And are therefore required to shoot it out. They play Oakland who do have Aso. But when you have Owen Daniels and Kevin Walter - Texans will still do plenty of damage.

I'd have to say that Brees is guaranteed at least one touchdown in this outing. But the same can be said for Schaub.

I'm going to say stick with Brees since he is at home. If the game was in NY I would've said Schaub.

I see GB running up the score on STL so the running game may be a non factor for STL. J. Jones has done pretty good for me this year and the Bears D isn't half of what it used to be. No Urlacher = better day for Julius imho

**Wooopps... not sure why I thought GB was playing STL... my bad

You can bench Brees because you HAVE Shaub. I'm going to predict a better game for Shaub. Brees wasn't looking too hot last week against BUF until the 4th qtr and going up against the Jets secondary, I smell trouble.

he did throw up a good point, when they played buffalo they played at buffalo... and idk if anyone else knows this, but the wind is horrible there... especially for someone who doesn't play there regularly.... and last sunday the wind was going like 20 mph.... making passes alot more difficult... but if it was due to a defense... than I could have issues with brees lol

I agree you can still bench Brees. But for a guy with that much potential in any game, it's tough. But like I said. I do like the fact that he's playing at home in the dome. And I do think he'll get at least one TD.

I do like Schaub as well (he's my quarterback). But Oakland is better at stopping the pass than the run. The Texans might be able to run the ball effectively.

It's a tough call. But I should make a side suggestion. If you play in a league where you can only start 1 QB. Why not dangle Schaub as trade bait and get another #1 WR or Running back. No point in letting a QB sit on your bench when you could be getting those points in your starting lineup.

If you have Brees. You can coast and pick up a 1 week bye replacement off the waiver wire. That's what I would do.

I wouldn't give up on him too quickly. I wish they would cause I drafted Lynch in a late round. But if Lynch struggles I can see them going with Fred Jackson once and for all.

I think if the Bills were winning games while Jackson was doing well. It would have been a different story.

Ok, maybe I would go with Brees....

"Jets RCB Lito Sheppard (quadriceps) has been formally ruled out for Week 4.
Nickel back Donald Strickland (ankle) is also out. If the Saints are smart, they'll flood the field with wideouts Sunday to capitalize on New York's depth woes in the seconday. Batman Carroll may even have to play some defense."

What's everyone's opinion on this situation:
I have Rivers and Eli Manning as my quarterbacks. Who do you guys think I should start? I'm leaning towards Manning, since he's at the soft Chiefs. Heh. But Rivers usually puts up good numbers, and well, Pitt's been looking down.

This one's a grab bag. I'd go with Manning just because of the favorable matchup. The chiefs should make it a game.

Hey guys, just wanted some opinions. My league plays 3 wide receivers and my wideouts are Greg Jennings, Desean Jackson, Wes Welker, Steve Smith (NYG) and Kelley Washington. For the 3rd week in a row, Welker is a game time decision and Jackson is also on a bye week. So I am playing Jennings, Smith, and either Welker or Kelley. I will be at work so i won't be able to change Welker out if he doesn't play. Do you guys thing Kelley will have a good day against his former team? Flacco is my starting QB so if the two hook up a lot, it will only benefit me. Thoughts?

hey, i have one question. I have to choose between two backs to fill in one of my rb spots. Its either Pierre Thomas from new orleans against the jets or Tashard choice from the cowboys against the denver broncos(he is suppose to do the majority of the work sunday!
thanks in advance.

Pierre Thomas. Jets are down two DBs. They aren't going to be able to do the same thing on defense as they usually do. Pierre is a starter I'd take him. Choice is playing against the #7 rush defense in Denver in Denver and backing up Barber. Barber hoardes goalline touches. So unless choice breaks a long run - he won't sniff the endzone.

Here's my team for this weekend:

Romo vs Broncos
Forte vs Lions
Rice vs Patriots
Colston vs Jets
Jennings vs Vikings
*Burleson vs Colts
*Carlson vs Colts
Ravens D/ST vs Patriots
Folk vs Ravens

I put an asterix because I have Dwayne Bowe who is questionable vs New York Giants; whilst the Colts have been good against Tight Ends and I have Kevin Boss vs the Chiefs.

I'll be up before the game, would anyone risk the line up changes? Bowe has been limited all week and I think the Seahawks proximity to play catch up should give Burleson and Carlson real value.

Thanks!

I need some last minute help so hopefully I can get some answers quick. My RB situation is this, Brandon Jacobs, Willis McGahee, Rice and I picked up Glen Coffee. I can only start two, Brandon Jacobs is obvious, but I can't figure out who else to start between McGahee, Rice and Coffee. With the Baltimore situation, you just have to start one of the backs and hope they got the most carries that day and I'm unsure of how they will do against NE. I picked up Glen Coffee because I like the matchup against the Rams defense. Should I just start McGahee or should I add some Rice or Coffee to my line up? (Sorry for the terrible pun)

My Defense situation you think would be easy since I have Baltimore, but I picked up the 49ers defense this week due to the Rams and well the 49ers defense looks pretty good. I like the 49ers defense but I want to stick with Baltimore because I forsee our defense doing well against the Pats offense. Can anyone help me out here?

i wish i had your RB situation.. i think any of those 4 players deserve a start, but i'd actually go with Coffee. Im picked up the 9ers D on waivers this week, too, so I might be a little biased, but i obviously think they're a must start this week as well

if you can only use 2 I'd suggest trying to trade one for a weaker position for you.. unless 2 of your RB's have the same bye week then trade 1 after that week
