Palomalu Out Mcl Sprain

21 posts in this topic

we all talk about bad breaks he almost had one we all saw that hit hes lucky to walk out with just a sprain , but this 3-6 weeks are the toughest part of their schedule so my question how crucial will this be for the steelers and is this some relief for us ravens fans because atleast 2 of the games are now losses because they are passing teams.

thoughts guys?

I know we are making a big deal of how this will effect the Steelers but according to Scott Garceu he said the Steelers have won before without Troy. I think he said in the beginning of the show today that the Steelers are 9-1 without Troy so they can still win games Troy or No Troy.

Hopefully we'll hear something soon on how long he will be out, I mean I know they said 3-6 weeks but there wasn't no tests done or any further examinations. If the Steelers lose Troy for the year or lose him for the first half of the year they will be fine. Tough Schedule?? Looking at the next few weeks if the 3-6 weeks hold up Pittsburgh will be fine with only San Diego and Minnesota being tough but luckily Pittsburgh is home for those games:

Week 2: @ Chicago
Week 3: @ Cincinatti
Week 4: Vs. San Diego
Week 5: @ Detroit
Week 6: Vs. Cleveland
Week 7: Vs. Vikings
Week 8: BYE

So with that kind of a schedule minus San Diego, and Minnesota it's a easy road going into the bye. I expect Troy if the injury is not serious that he will be back for the second half of the season.

San Diego, Minnesota and Chicago. Plus everyone is predicting an improved Cincy team. I'm not necessarily concerned about Detroit or Cleveland but no games are "easy."

Didn't they bring that rule in last season but never enforce it?

I recall it being an issue that was addressed but don't recall the outcome. Palomalu's hair not only covers up his name but also his number. I'm not singling him out, as there are many others with long hair, but he's the biggest offender.

The Bears will give the Steelers a run for their money! watch!

They will be tougher with Cutler... but I still think Pitt wins.

I think your hair should not block number on your jersey.I think your hair must not touch your uniform number. Result $10,000 fine per game and suspension the next game.

I believe that according to the rules, any hair which reaches below the helmet is considered part of the uniform.
Changes to the rule were brought up, but in the end they decided to keep things the way they are.
If the players want to risk injury, so be it.

I can not imagine how the guys play with all that hair all over the place, mine is almost to my waist and about to be wacked and it always needs to be pulled back because it annoys me  so I can not imagine putting that mess into a helmet or having some 350lb lineman pulling on it.

Yeah the hair is considered part of your equipment and in my opinion which is why I guess we don't see it too often on offense compared to defense. Being pulled down by the hair has got to hurt really bad.

This is probably the worst thing that could happen to the Steelers.
[/quote]
worst thing ever for them would be maybe James "Steroids" Harrison or Ben Rapistberger getting injured for a while. Sure Polamalu won't be there to snatch balls around (no gayness intended.. maybe not with that long hair that Queeramalu has) but they still have that pressure and stopping the run game and Ben's elusiveness with options at Heath Miller, Santonio Holmes.

According to ESPN, further examination revealed no additional damage, no surgery needed, out 3-6 weeks as initially reported... possibly until their bye week, week 8.
