Not the question. Couldn't care less what the a** thinks! If we did, why did we pass on this game if offered.
Refer to itscbm5042's comment. That is exactly what i heard when the schedule was coming out about how the NFL wanted Steelers versus Ravens to open up the season and the Ravens didnt like that because they always play in prime time in PItt and never in baltimore.

The replies above stated the main reason for declining the game... and why would they want to start off with a such a physical game and risk injuries right at the start of the season?

I agree about the injury thing and the other points. I might have felt different had this been a home game, although i prefer 1pm games.
Watching last nights game i kept thinking the Titans and Steelers have not improved from last year but we have and we lost an oppritunity to whip em at home.

We passed on this "opportunity" because we have played a primetime game in Pittsburgh 3 of the last 4 years before this season, with ZERO primetime games in Baltimore against Pitt in that time. Sound fair to you?

90% of steeler fans are bandwagon, and 75% of those fans cant name more than 10 players on the team...don't let it get to you.

The fans are the sissies by acting tough on the internet but most of them are cowards in real life.

Like I remember this one Ravens-STeelers game I went to, I was standing at one of the outside tables at Ravens Walk drinking a beer and some ignorant steeler fans came over and set there trash on the table while one of them tied their shoes. There was a trash can 5 feet away. I didn't say anything. They went to walk away. I told them to pick up and put it in the trashcan please because it was very rude. They laughed. I picked it up and threw it in the guys face (nacho cheese went on his face) they continued to laugh and I just told them I just made them all look like "female dogs". My buddy got back from the concession and we decided to walk into the game then thats when I heard "******* Fog Hat (you can figure out what they said) and then they ran the other way. By the way these werent kids, they were in there early 20s.....

Basically I am saying that most of these fans dont know anything about football, anything about the steelers but want to be fans of steelers because they know a lot of people hate them.

EDIT: and they are Cowards

No. Not fair at all. I agreed to that when i said "other points". BUT, now I think we could have kicked their butts LAST NIGHT early in the season,in their house. I have us losing in Pitt. this year in my prediction of our season. Of course i hope i'm wrong and i think i would have been last night.

You can come up with all of the reasons it was a good move that you want! To be the Best you have to Beat the Best on any stage or any place. Sissy move all day!

Why is that? If we win, we win. If it's on our terms or theirs, it's still a win.

I've merged this thread with the "Pittsburgh fans think of us" thread, as they are essentially the same discussion.

The real reason we passed on this game was because the Orioles have a home game against Boston on Sunday the 20th which would have set us back from a home opener until week 3, which is totally unexceptable. The fact that all primetime games between us alwasy seem to be in Pitt is true but the fact that we would have started the season with 2 road games was a no brainer to pass up the opportunity of opening the season.

I think we had enough games in Pittsburgh the last couple of seasons. So this would be considered a smart move.

I think if it were a Thursday Night game against any other team the Ravens would have went. but It seems like they are getting tired of playing these Nationally Televised games @Pittsburgh..it's about time a few of these games get played in Baltimore.
