Best Seat In The House

26 posts in this topic

Just wondering what you guys think. What is the best seat at M&T?? Lower deck seats have their pluses. Club level is pretty plush. Upper deck gives you a panoramic view. Other than view, the fans in the section can make a seat good. I like fans that work at being loud and into the game. Let me hear it...where do you think is the best seat in the house?

I actually love being in the endzone (100 section). Sure the field view sucks. But there's nothing like watching a Raven score a TD right in front of you. Plus the fans are die-hards.

My rankings
100 level anywhere
Club level anywhere
500 section - Sidelines.

Section 124 - Section 129 from row 25 back.

Sections 524 - 529 Row 1.

I was sat in 127 row 6 for the two pre-season games. You're within touching distance of the players but it's too low for my liking - difficult to get a good perspective on the plays. Plus the camera tower sometimes obscures your view!

My season tickets are upper level and I'm a little further back than I'd like, but I'll take upper deck simply because you get to see plays develop.

My seats are upper level too. I agree you get a view of the plays as they develop. However, it's a hike to get up there....

For me it depends on the weather conditions and the game. If its raining club level is awsome. If it's nice out then lower level sideline or end zone if I think the Raven's are gonna put alot of points on the board like I think they will do on Sunday! :D

That's definitely the best part of the 500 sections, is watching the plays develop. Especially how and if the WR are getting open, etc. You do not get to see that on TV or in the 100 levels.

Me too. 527. I wouldn't mind being about 10 rows closer, but it is a great point of view. When Reed made the record breaking interception against the Eagles last year, it was awesome watching him fly from one endzone to the other. I also had a great view of Flacco catching the long pass from Smith last year.

Can't wait for Sunday!!!!

I've sat in the lower section corner, club level mid field, and upper level mid field. I think I liked midfield uppers the best. I mean, the club seats were nice, but I was almost afraid to stand up and cheer. Everyone sitting in club section are filthy rich and they seemed like they weren't really into the game. They only stood up for touchdowns. On big plays they just had a little golf clap and remained seated. Not my idea of how to watch a game...

My tickets are upper deck mid field. However, I got some club level seats from work for the home opener. I heard the crowd in the club level is not the same. I like the working folks in the upper deck. They know how to get into the game.

Nothing (other than the press box, of course!) beats lower-level seats, for me. Last season, I got to be 10 rows away from the field for Joe Flacco's regular-season debut; my brother and I were the only ones wearing Flacco jerseys in our section, so it was high-fives all around all day! This Sunday, I'm 9 rows away but on the opposite end of the stadium (still lower-level, though!) but we probably won't be the only ones wearing Flacco jerseys this year. ;)

Press box was okay. Free food there too! Problem with the press box is that it can be called a "library". It's all hush hush. Also it's behind glass windows, you really feel seperated from the game. But on the other side, it's awesome because where else can your rub elbows with Ozzie, Dick Cass and Byrne? Nowhere.

My experience standing in the elevator talking about the weather with Dick Cass is an experience I won't forget!

I feel like I'm touring the M&T stadium. Upper level, 50 yard line suite, lower level end-zone, lower level mid field, club-level, press box (and press room) and on-field - I've been to them all. The only thing I'm missing is an invitation to the owner's box.

BTW, is the board going to be doing the "Post from the Pressbox Contest" this year, so that some lucky *new* poster can enjoy the experience?

Details coming soon. ;)

Still trying to figure out the best way to determine how we'll do it (voting, nomination, purpose, etc.) but we'll figure something out.

Nope, this is just something we Moderators have been talking to the New Media staff about. I wish I could get a permanent seat in the Press Box, but alas, Mods get no such perks.

I'm in section 525 which is located on the Ravens side at about the 35/40 yard line. But really from where I sit, it feels like I'm smack dab at mid field.

Anyway, I've sat club level, 50 yard line front row, and end zone and I'll still take my seat in 525 over any of those.

When sitting down low its too hard to gauge what is actually happening on the field. From up top I can see the play fully develop from start to finish.

The club level is nice for obvious reasons but the fan support is horrible. But the overall spirit is lacking. No thanks. I love the rowdyness of sitting outside with everyone else. Especially in the upper decks.

End zone, no thanks. I spend most of the time watching the jumbotrons.

My only complaint about section 525 is, THE AMOUNT OF STEPS!!!! I have to leave tailgating a half hour before the game starts and I barely make it for the player introductions.

All in all though, I'm just happy to have a ticket for every home game. If I didn't have season tickets, I would'nt care where I sat as long as I was there.

With the way the stadium's built, there's really no such thing as a bad seat in the house. The only bad thing might be the people around you, but that varies with the level of alcohol served that day. ;)

There are NO bad seats at M&T.
Its true each section has its pluses and minuses.

Lower level is my fav though. Close to the action. Being a little near sited that makes a differance.
I will say upper things get MUCH more rowdy.

Bottom line is though, if you are there it is a BLAST.

I sit in section 209, club level. I will agree that most of the fans there can be pretty quiet, but there are those of us who get loud and proud! We do have a good view of the field- 209 is right next to the scoreboard above the band, so we can see a lot of plays develop. The inside of club level is awesome- the food selection and quality is very good and it's comfortable and clean. I love the different quotes on the wall from Ravens fans, as well as the pictures of different Ravens players and memorable moments.

I've sat in the uppers and lowers and the crowd around me was great. I just got 4 club seats this year :) and if they don't get rowdy then they may not like sitting next to me. By the 2nd 1/2 I won't have any voice and will only be able to wave my towel. I will bring the noise in section 221 you better believe that!

I love my lower bowl endzone except for being hit with a ball on a FG shank. You can watch the plays develop I would not sit anywhere else. With the big screen I feel I don't miss too much when they are on the opposite endzone.

I'm definitely a upper deck fan. I have club level seats for the home opener that I won at work. I will be representing the real fans from the upper deck in the club level on Subday.

CLub Level, 50 yd line.

Normally sit in 539 and sat in 101 once, but 226 and 227 are probably the best sections. You get the best of both worlds. You can see all the action on the field like in the upper deck, but you are still close enough to see the players' faces.

The fans, and view, in Sec 126 make it the best spot in M&T to watch a game; AND it's right behind the Raven's bench.

I've sat in 501 1 time and 523 3 times. Best view of the field up there.

Sat in 202 1 time. Very nice, good view and no long bathroom or food line.

Sat in 125 2 times. Pretty exciting down there and I bet Anthony Wright remembers me yelling at him. He was looking my way when he finally profanely yelled back.
