Hey guys, an update for the black theme is available fixing a few issues (horizontal scrollbar, popup boxes, and a couple minor things).

Please download the update here.

Then go to Tools > Add-Ons, select the current Ravens theme from the "Themes" tab and uninstall. Restart FF, and then re-open Tools > Add-Ons, and drag the updated file into the dialogue box. Update will install itself, then restart FF and you're done. B)

Hmm....that's strange, it works on all of my systems. Which OS are you using? Also, did you install the update above? I suspect that might be a possible cause, because the horizontal scrollbar was causing other problems as well.

good stuff, I can't make up my mind if I like the black or the purple better.

I mean the black is sweet, but the purple is the color of kings man

I have installed all of the updates. I used the purple theme before the black one, and it didn't work there, either. I have Windows XP. I'm assuming that's what you meant by "OS" but correct me if I'm wrong.

Okay, I tried to use Find on Windows XP, and it appears but does not function. I assume that's the problem you have also.

I'm going to look into this tonight, and should have it fixed up very soon (hopefully by the weekend sometime).

I need the JAR file. Can't seem to find it..........

The download link for the updated .jar package is located in post #92 above. Please make sure you also have the current Chrome.css files as well for proper function.

thanks for this, it keeps getting better every time! :D

Excellent! As soon as I have the design finished (a nice looking scrollbar and some other enhancements) and a few bugs get splatted, I have some neat new features planned. Stay tuned!

Also, I know that the updates for the purple theme haven't been coming lately, but I havent forgotten about it! Just have had a lot to do with the black theme, since it is brand new and required a lot of attention.
Soon, I'll have it so that you can have both themes installed. Maybe use the purple browser for road games and black for home! :P

Ah, it saved as a winzip archive before, but once I selected "save as" and I renamed it Baltimoreravens.jar, it worked just fine for me....

Yep, working on fixing that up, someone else brought it to my attention.

And not to worry, I check this thread a few times each day in case anyone has questions or new bugs to report.

I'm still working on a fix for the Find feature, but if you need to use it in the meantime, here's a workaround.....

Enter your text into the Find box. Highlight the text and copy it (right click > Copy ), then right click anywhere inside the browser window and select Find Again.

No problem....the instructions are included with the files you downloaded. To recap:

Download and save the installation file (it is called BaltimoreRavens.jar) located in post #92.

Click on Tools > Add-Ons in the toolbar. Select the tab labeled "Themes" in the dialogue box that appears.

Now, drag and drop the BaltimoreRavens.jar file into the dialogue box.

It will install itself.

Finally, download the userChrome and userContent files here --> userChrome and userContent (you will need to unzip the package by right clicking on it, then select "Extract...")

Copy those files to the directory specified in the instructions (included with the files).

Restart Firefox, and you're done!

No problem!

Don't forget to report any problems here in this thread.

It is about 90% done, just a few minor issues are still lingering that I am working on; but it should be suitable for daily use as it is right now.

Here's a quick screenshot of how it's coming along....I don't think the screenie does it justice, looks better on the computer....

Click on image to enlarge for better detail. (Note-- My screen resolution is 1680 x 1050, so if you have a CRT monitor you'll have a bit of horizontal scrolling to do...sorry, nothing I can do to avoid that :()

A couple things you'll notice when using this is that the inactive tabs are now semi-transparent, and gives a nice little see-through effect. Also for the people using the purple theme, you may notice that switching between tabs feels a little "jumpy"; that has been fixed in this version, switching between tabs has a much more solid feel to it (sorry, guess not a big deal, but it pleases my inner geek so I had to share :P )

Still a lot left to be done, the finished version will look a little different, but just wanted to give a sneak-peak of where things are at right now.

That toolbar (actually it's known as the "status bar", fyi....you may need to know that sometime because a lot of sites and add-ons make use of it) is the one used one the purple theme. I took this picture a while ago during the first stages of making the black theme.....if you notice, the scrollbar and image at the top is different too because I didn't have those made up yet either, so I used the one from the purple theme just for illustration purposes (wanted to let everyone know it is on the way and how it looked at the time).

If anyone would rather have the purple theme, you can download it here:

instructions and chrome files

Maybe you should change you the Topic to say Now Here!! instead of Coming Soon! and people will know it's here now. Also, why not just edit the first post with the link to the browser so people don't have to go searching for it throughout the post. Just a thought and......Good Luck!!

For the guys who were asking about the find bar, just wanted to let you know I'm still working on getting it working properly. In the mean time, there is a work around that I mentioned a few posts earlier that you can try.

Seems to be a problem with the way Find Bar was integrated into Firefox; a lot of other add-ons conflict with it as well. Hopefully Mozilla smooths it out in it's next update so that these problems don't recur. Still working on it, just taking a lot longer than I expected it to.

Hey Fly..

I've downloaded both the packages, I get into add-ons, themes tab, after extracting all files, and go to drag the folder directly into that window, and it will not allow it to go there. Hovering over the window, puts a red circle with a bar through it at the bottom of the folder. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks for your help!

I got it to work, great job.!

It sounds like you are trying to copy the wrong files into the dialogue box.

Make sure the userChrome and userContent files get copied into the directory specified in the instructions, not drag and dropped into the dialogue box.

The package called BaltimoreRavens.jar is the one you drag and drop, but you do not extract any files from it. Just drop and drag the package as is, it will install itself.

Let me know if that helps or not!
