Okay, I'm going to send a patch for it tomorrow sometime.

Which operating systems are you using? (I'm guessing Windows XP)

Also I will be fixing the tabs ASAP so the it has the close button on each tab. I'll try to send that out tomorrow with the URL patch.

I'm using Firefox and finally figured out how to load the theme. It's great, I love it so far.
I did notice however I cant read the "post" button at the bottom of the page but I can read the "use full editor"

Yep, there are still a few kinks that need worked out; mainly text issues., and also the close tab button on each tab needs to be repaired.

Thanks for everyone's patience, I am working on these things right now and will post back here (hopefully today!!) when the fixes are ready.

Patch #1

Fix text display in URL bar

################################################
# #
# Download this patched file ONLY if your text is invisible in your URL bar #
# #
################################################

Patch file (right click and select "Save Link As...")

After downloading this file, you will need to replace the old userChrome.css with this file -- please see instructions on how to locate it if you do not remember where it is.

I will have a couple more patches to fix other issues later on today/tonight (adding "Close Tab" button to tabs, and other text bugs), so check back then!

You know we're gonna keep hounding you until we get a black theme. ;)
On the way!
Personally, I think it looks a lot nicer than the purple theme, but that's just me...

Are you going to be submitting your black one to Mozilla?
I'll be submitting both the purple and black themes once they are 100% ready to go.
Right now, the purple theme is about 80% finished, and I just started the black theme.

Once submitted, it usually takes a few weeks before it's available through Mozilla.

IMPORTANT!

I fixed the remaining issues (URL text not displaying, close tab buttons are now added to tabs, and certain text fields not appearing) and the update is now available.

If you are using the Ravens theme, please visit the Updates page to download the patch.

Thanks again for your patience!

First file.... what do I open it with? It says check console for errors.
The update files and instructions are all bundled into a zip file, which you are downloading.

Since it is a .zip file, you should be able to right click on it after you download it and select "Extract". If for some reason you cant do that, you can always download WinRAR (or plenty others like it) to open packages.

Yep, as I said a couple times before, this is a remake of the old theme.

The one you have only functions in FF 1 & 2. The FF3 release introduced a lot of internal restructuring, and because of that the old theme didn't work in FF anymore.
So, I took that theme and rewrote a lot of the code so that it would work in FF3, and made some minor tweaks to the graphics (transparent menus, new _blank page, new tabs and tab bar, new scrollbar), and kept some of the other graphics, like the toolbar buttons and the main background.

I personally am not a big fan of the purple scheme, so I'm working on a black one that is being built from the ground up; will look nothing like this version.

I have a mac, just so you know. On mine, it is a .jar, and when I open it, it is with Jar Launcher. There is no way to extract it.
Ok, gotcha....

First, I haven't tested this on a Mac system yet, so I'm not sure how well this will work for you.
Also, I'll need to give you a different set of instructions for install if you still want to try it out.

To answer the question on how to extract the files, here's a free .zip extractor for Mac OS X.

Let me know how the theme works on the Mac! I'll PM you shortly with the other info you'll need.

Yeah, I did it. It extracts into a folder. I also got the other two files.
First, you'll need to download the install package from here --> install package

After you download that, you'll need to select Tools > Add-ons.
Select Themes tab, then drag the install package directly onto the FF box that opened up when you clicked Tools > Add-ons.

Finally, copy the userChrome.css and userContent.css files that you just downloaded a little while ago into the FF chrome folder. The chrome folder on Mac will be located in one of two places:

/Macintosh HD/Users/<username>/Library/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/<profile folder>

OR

/Macintosh HD/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile folder>

Restart FF, and that's it.

Crap, that's nice! I see no problems. Works great, thanks. I just was unsure about the whole drag and drop process. My mac used to stop use of it, and I had to find a more complicated way to copy and paste something.

Great, glad you like it!

Just for future reference regarding the drag n drop....there should also be a button labeled "Install" when you open up the FF add-ons box, so if D 'n D doesn't work for you, that would be the next easiest thing to do.

Will be updating this to clean up the graphics and make everything look cleaner, and further down the road I have some rockin' plug-ins planned.

Forgot to mention that if you decide to uninstall the Ravens theme, you will need to rename or delete the userChrome and userContent files, else Steeler trolls will take over your web browser and sign you up for Steelers Magazine :o

Thanks! This is pretty cool. When will the iGoogle theme be available? The other Ravens themes are not as impressive, especially for widescreen users.
