Well, that explains why reportedly the Steelers were interested in the Puppy Slayer (Michael Vick). I'm glad I'm not a pet owner in Pittsburgh!

Dude, he's in Philly. Tomlin said he wouldn't have done that to Ben considering the legal crap he had been going through. I'm glad we didn't sign him (obviously).

For the record, that wasn't me who gave you a neg rep point.

On another note, how'd Jesus get into this conversation?
it started from a conversation between myself and flynismo. He instructed me to not follow the Sheep in this forum. Sheep meaning; Raven Fans who agree with each other on every topic and give negative ratings if you give props to another team such as the Steelers. I was advised to be a Shepard instead.

What kind of Ravens fan would ever want the Steelers to win!? They are not only our division rivals, but the defending Champs. Go Titans.
Don't be overly concerned about the poll results, the question was changed to make it clearer and some early votes were for a different question. No biggie, there was just some confusion. [was that better? :) ]

I don't think many, if any, Ravens fan wants the Steelers to win, if only because it could bode negatively against the Ravens chances to make the playoffs later.

Well, he just said that "reportedly, they were interested" not that they followed through, but that was said about a lot of teams. Didn't know Tomlin said that about not putting Ben through that. Pretty cool. I like Tomlin sooooo much better than Cowher.

I love Tomlin (probably more than Cowher). I DO think he's a great coach and a brilliant leader. But I am curious to see what this team looks like after all the players Cowher assembled are gone. Ya know?

But, to get back on topic: NFL Network is all Steelers today. That has to be driving you guys nuts.

I'm wondering when the Titans pick up on it and start pulling the no respect card.

Hate the Titans, and have no respect for them.

I guess I'm the lone wolf on this forum? Go Steelers!

I like close division races :D It's almost like I don't need to workout since I get it done with the Steeler/Ravens rivalry. My heart is PUMPIN'!

So, I get to have one day where I'm glad I have to work. haha.

I'll be watching the game, though. Or, at least part of it - depending on how things go. 5am comes early...

Don't sweat it. There's a 99% chance I'll be cheering for the Ravens in their game against the Patriots. Hate them more and have no respect for them either.

Not at all, I almost want Pit to win too, but wanting us to win the division edged out my disdain for Ten in the end....

It has been all Steelers since preseason. Everytime you turn the channel to Nfl Network, There they are. But, it's expected. They are the Champs and they have a huge portion of fans including the analysts

Go Titans. ;) I don't understand how you could want the Steelers to win? Some people want the Steelers to be at full strength and be undefeated so the Ravens can beat them when they play for the 1st time in November. I don't know how the players feel about this but I wouldn't care if Big Ben, Polamalu, Harrison and Ward were all hurt and the Ravens won by 50. A win is a win. This is probably the best rivalry in the league right now but the Ravens' #1 goal is to win the Super Bowl; not beat Pittsburgh. There's no guarantee the Ravens will have to go through Pittsburgh to go Miami. People assume that because of what they did last year and they're usually consistent from year to year. It's a new year. Look at what happened in 2006.

With all that said, I also have Chris Johnson on one of my fantasy teams so hopefully he gets loose.

Innocent until proven guilty.

Nope, I don't remember that one. But do you remember Hines Ward's "greatest hits?" How about the fact that Tomlin told him to keep doing it even though it's now against the rules?
No one seems to think the Pittsburgh Steelers are classless because of that, but it's almost like the Titans are measured by another standard.
Haynesworth is gone anyway, so if you're going to dislike a team just because of him, it's time to start rooting for the teams that play the Redskins.

How many Ravens fans complain about the td in the second Steelers game? How many Cowboys fans whine about their playoff losses? How many Cardinals fans complain about the refs calls in the SuperBowl? Steelers fans whine about the Patriots (and for that matter, so do Ravens fans). Every fanbase is going to complain about something; especially close games.

Go Titans! It would be nice if the first SB defending champions to lose kickoff are the Steelers.
If you go back to my original reply, it says " I respect the Steelers (save hines ward) meaning EXCEPT Hines Ward. But you DO bring up some good points, good post.

I was just thinking something last night....

Everyone in the media has resumed their love affair with the Cheaters now that Golden Boy is back. All the talk about how they are the team of the decade, yada yada yada....

They won 3 SB this decade. Pits won two.

Let's say for arguments sake the Ravens win it this year, bringing our total for the decade to two as well.

Do we still say the Cheaters are the team of the decade? I realize this is almost certainly an exercise in futility, but I want to come up with an argument that strips them of that title. All I've got for now at least, is that they have dominated a very weak division, whereas Bal and Pit have had to fight just to make it to the postseason. Thoughts?

Or another twist, what if Pits wins their third?

Of course if the Cheaters do it again this year, then there goes any hope of debunking an argument for them.

I think its safe to say that they are Americas Team now. Look at all the extra attention anf favortism they get with or without Tom Shady. Now he's back, They are Miami Bound. Its crazy. As far as whos the team of the decade, I think the Pats shouldnt be concidering tha fact that the have a huge Blemish from cheating. However, the world is still in mad love with them.

I voted for Titans cause i want them to win. But in Reality Squeelers gonna win :(
It's not guaranteed. Kevin Mawae should be playing and I don't think the Titans lost many pieces besides Haynesworth & their DC. Haynesworth supposedly only played 1/2 the time last year & the Titans have people who they like playing defensive tackle.

Like you said, it's expected, and, as such, I don't think it's be overdone, especially when you consider all the hype that goes to the NFL's favorite teams, Patriots and Cowboys and their favorite players, Brady and Favre - and even to some extent, Ryan and the Jets, another Ryan and the Falcons, and the current crop of 'bad boys', T.O., Vick and Crabtree. [I just kind of threw Crabtree in there because I needed a third name.]

I think the only way to unseat the Patriots as the 'team of the decade' is for the Steelers to win the Superbowl. I don't want them to do it, but they would deserve the title if they did.
