Trade Advices Anyone?

2 posts in this topic

I drafted 10th in a 10 team league.

Starting Roster
QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB1: LaDainian Tomlinson
RB2: Ray Rice
WR1: Randy Moss
WR2: Anquan Boldin
WR3: Vincent Jackson
Flex: Leon Washington
K: John Carney (Will rotate every week)
Def: Minnesota
D: Patrick Willis (Will rotate every week)
Bench:
Kevin Smith
Darren McFadden
Derrick Mason
Greg Olsen
Chris Henry
Donald Brown

It seems I'm pretty satisfied with my starters and the depth that I have. However, I want to use my strong depth to get some stronger WRs. I'm planning a 2 for 1 trade because some good waiver pick-ups are still out there. Another thing, I'm willing to pick up Fred Jackson for the first 4 games and then drop him when my QB has a bye week. Also, please give advices if I am trading too much, too less, or shouldn't at all. In Addition, tell me if I should wait for a while to show the true values of some of the players because my depth can put up some points to get higher bids.

Trade 1:
Derrick Mason
Kevin Smith or Donald Brown or Ray Rice
for
Wes Welker or Chad Ocho Cinco or Santana Moss or Lance Moore or Eddie Royal or TJ Houshmandzadeh
Trade 2:
Vincent Jackson
Kevin Smith or Darren McFadden or Ray Rice
for Greg Jennings or Terrell Owens or TJ Houshmandzadeh

Waiver Pick-up replacements
Ahmad Bradshaw (hot pick-up)
LeSean McCoy (Later Weeks or Westbrook off-days)
Fred Jackson (1st 4 weeks) my RBs have a tough schedule to run in the first 4 weeks

Don't make a trade that you yourself won't accept.
Or in other terms.
Don't make a ridiculous trade that the other person would have to be half retarded to accept.

Like if you want to do a 2 for 1 deal, make sure that the 2 are reasonable starters rather then those bench scrubs that just fill your roster that you never start.

And other thing. Owners very very very very very rarely trade elite players. I'm talking the first 2-3 rounds players. So trade 2 will never happen unless the guy as minimal football knowledge.

But elite for elite will work.
