Davon Drew Back On The Market

9 posts in this topic

Just saw that Aaron Wilson tweeted that Davon Drew was waived by the dolphins due to injury. Don't know if the injury is serious or not, but we may be able to get him back on the practice squad or even on IR. This is assuming that the Ravens hoped Drew would clear waivers and be placed on the practice squad when they originally cut him. They may have just wanted to get rid of him.

This is the National Football League, everyone is injury prone. That is the nature of the game.

Not as injury-prone as L.J. Smith though.

I don't know if the team will go after Drew but they did see enough talent to draft him so they could sign him to the practice squad.

Yeah, I get that. But if the Ravens really felt they had something there, they probably would have kept him. Especially considering the problem we've had at the TE position over the last couple of years.

Although, I do expect a lot more production from Todd Heap this year. Its his injury status that concerns me most.

Wasn't impressed by him when we drafted him I ll pass. I hope we can get a good tight end in the 2nd round next year after we great Brandon Spikes in the first!

If the team got Spikes, it would be sweet but he's looking to be a Top 15 pick.
