I'm going but don't have game tickets yet. Flights and hotels booked though.

As I've never been before either, I have no suggestions on stuff to do! Will keep an eye on this thread for suggestions.

We (4 of us) are also going to see the Ravens beat the Patroits. My question is how do we get to the stadium from downtown Boston without a car? The train goes there but it arrives just 1 hour b-4 the game starts. We would like to get there earlier to walk around. Any ideas?

Hope you get some ideas. We are flying in on Saturday. We are renting vans to get around. If we were closer to the airport, I would offer a ride. See ya in Boston!!

Hey folks...I was just checking out places near Gillette Stadium. Looks like they have a pretty nice place right near the stadium. It's called the CBS Scene. Looks like a really nice sports bar. Come on...Anyone interested in meeting there Saturday night (10/3)? Can we get a lot of Ravens fans to show up then? I could get my group of 12 to show up. Anyone else? Let's have a great time before the victory on Sunday. Check out the web site.

Look for a TBD color & style rental car in the cash lots with a big Ravens banner ... that'll be us. I hope to get there by 9:30am.

As to nearby food, drink, and lodging, there is plenty within walking distance. Patriots Place, adjacent to the stadium lots, lists eleven places with outside tables:

Pa, thanks for the offer. I did check on map quest but your bus/hotel are almost as far as the stadium is for me. I did get an outrages quote of $228 EACH way from a limo company. I figure a cab might be around $125 each way. I'd get a rental, but I do love my brewskis' b-4 the game. We will walk around the parking lots before the game looking for the friendly purple jerseys.

Hi everyone as the PURPLE INVASION hits New England I have just informed by the caterer that I can add a few extra people to the tailgate party anyone interested can email me it will include basic tailgate food and beer sodas and water. So if you are interested I need to know by Thursday at the latest.

Some of you that don't know me if you were part or heard about the 450+ tailgate party in Jascksonville a few years ago at the park that was me. Would love to get that many in New England.

Also, if you are going to Green Bay I am having a big party at the Staduimg View on Sunday night there as well.

LET'S ROCK THEIR HOUSE

I was at the Jacksonville tailgate in '05 - it was a great time and a fantastic spot!

Not sure what our plans are yet but I'll be sure to let you know by Thursday if we can join you.

re: "if you were part or heard about the 450+ tailgate party in Jacksonville a few years ago at the park that was me" .... correction: you were responsible for 300 of those Ravens fans, and I organized the other 150! Count us in for 4, most likely (I need to know menu for food pickiness issues). I will e-mail you. Do you have a location yet? We'll be driving in from the north, hopefully to arrive by 9am or so.

Also: should I make another beer run for you, as I did in Atlanta?

NOPE OUR HOTEL IS WILLING TO KEEP THE BEER COLD FOR USE UNTIL WE CAN CAREFULLY GET IT TRANSFER TO THE BUS. THAT IS ONE OF THE REASON I NEED A HEAD COUNT BY THURSDAY SO THAT I CAN MAKE SURE WE HAVE ENOUGH BEER. :D

Those that still need seats, it appears NE just release some tickets, and they are much, much, much, better then the two seats I got from the Ravens this afternoon. They have lowers and uppers, from $89 to $169 a seat. This was 10 minutes ago.

Thanks. I pounced on that tidbit and was able to get a pair in row 5 instead of my original row 24, which I promptly sold.
