Fan Free Agency

31 posts in this topic

Ok say your contract as a Raven fan expires and u have to pick somewhere to go besides Baltimore. Where would you sign? My top picks would be:

1. Green Bay Packers- So much history and I love Lambaeu Field. Green Bay is a fine place and they have great fans

2. Tennessee Titans- great organization that knows how to win
3. New York Jets- If Rex tried to recruit me, I probably couldnt say no

But no need to worry Baltimore I inked a lifetime contract a few years back with an option for my after-life. :)

Where would you sign if you became a fan free agent?

if i coulnd't be a raven fan anymore wow maybe then i just wouldn't watch football.
but if i had to choose i think Carolina Panthers would be first,
i'm reqally not saying who my second team would be because of the backlash let's just say i'd be hanging out with the warden alot.
Greenbay Packers would be third.

I understand why u would wanna go to Pittsburgh but I hate them WAY too much. I deal with so many Steeler fans that piss me off SO much and I wouldnt want to be one of them.

I think I would just pick a team from every division because I couldn't have passion for a team like I do with the Ravens. I would probably follow Redskins because I like there players like Cooley, Barnes, Brennan and Portis.

Even though I don't like Cutler, I would root for Da' Bears. I liked them in the 80's, with Sweetness and that Singletary-led Defense. They would fit in well in the Black-and-Blue, Defense-first AFC North.

Great question! I could never a true fan of any other NFL team. But if I had to I'd pick Green Bay, or Buffalo. I just like teams that have to find a way to win in such bad weather all the time, except New England ofcourse. Plus I was usually the only person among my friends rooting for Buffalo when they lost to Dallas in those early 90's Superbowls

I'd root for my NFC team, the Washington Redskins. B)
Next in line:
Jaguars
Panthers
Titans
Chargers

O.O When you said "players" I expected it to be people who have actually played in the NFL...

J/k :P Everyone loves that guy.

I'd probably retire from following the NFL. Non-Ravens pro football bores me. Maybe the Terps or Hokies would get more attention from me.

Being a Lions fan could be fun, because they can only get better and it would be fun getting in on the ground floor. They do have to get better, don't they? Right? Right?

But, I'd probably be a Redskins fan. I have a few family members that are 'skins fans, and my S.O. and his family...

This would be tough but luckily just like everybody else I signed a new life long contract :)

I will say if I had to pick a new team to be a fan of it would be the New York Giants. Eli has turned into a great QB, they have young recievers that will help Eli and a great defense. Also the Giants are my favorite NFC team. I would also consider an offer from the Packers or Cardinals. Maybe the Jets or any team that winds up hiring Bill Cowher for their head coach.

I would choose the worst franchises possible, like a Detriot, Cincinatti, Cleveland etc. That way I can get tons of credit for resurrecting an almost defunct franchise and if I can't do anything with it I'll just blame it on the hapless management and traditional suckiness of the team

I already have an answer b/c I lived it from 1984 when the colts sneaked out of town to 1996 with the birth of the Ravens (the 12 years aka known as the Dark Ages).

Did not follow the NFL for a few years, followed by a vagabond fandom of Dolphins to Chiefs to Packers to rooting for whoever was the underdog in the superbowl.

Could not imagine doing that again.

Lions because they're the underdogs, Jags need fans (hopefully can avoid blackouts this year), and the Texans are just an exciting team to watch.
