You're preaching to the choir.
"The choir" should try to examine her own team with the same magnifying glass used to examine her teams enemies.

I wonder who the Ravens would have played had they won the AFCCG? Oh, that's right: The Arizona Cardinals.

Wanna discuss how the Ravens begged the NFL not to schedule them for tomorrow nights game?

Spare me the "easy opponent" crap. It's old.

^^^Oh right so we could play them again in Pittsburgh....yet again. At least this time we are healthy. I know we'd gladly take the challenge.

We would have beaten Big Ben up after all his this "Woman" drama. I know he has to be in emotional disarray. Poor guy its so sad.

Here in Baltimore we are used to been on the bad side of the media, even thought this team is all heart. Somehow the steelers have where's the cheap shot block ward? and Harrison the push him when hes already down MVP and the MEdia loves it.

Oh and why does Pittsburgh get the easiest schedule? oh right blue collar city that the media just loves.

Yay we've won 6 championships derrr

IMO, the Steelers had an easy path to the Lombardi, let's break it down.

Divisional game. Vs. Chargers, an 8-8 team that got lucky on the Colts. They already beat the Chargers earlier in the year, and lost to the Colts.

Conference game. Vs. Ravens. Already beat us twice. We were banged up, but had a ton of confidence after we beat the Titans. But if it wasnt for all the turnovers, we would have lost. The Steelers lost to the Titans in the season.

SuperBowl. Vs. the Cardinals. Instead of the Giants or Eagles who they lost to in the season.
Hate to break it to you, but beating two playoff teams and the best team in the NFC is anything but a cakewalk.
And if you want to get technical, their path to the Lombardi included all the ****** kickings they handed out during the regular season, not just their three post season games against very tough teams.

No, you don't know. Baltimore specifically requested not to.

The "easy schedule" is how the cards played out for us THIS year. Last year we had the toughest. But, you probably didn't know that.

I assure you Bens mind is on football since that womans case is falling apart....yep, doubt you knew that either.

I can bring up classless and unsportsmanlike acts by Ravens players too, but I won't.

What were the teams that Ravens faced in the playoffs? The 11-5 Dolphins, the number one seed 13-3 (best in the NFL) Titans, and the 12-4 Steelers. If they'd won, they would have had to play a fourth game vs the Cards.

Edit: I won't say what I was going to post. Not worth it.

And? It's not like other teams don't make schedule requests; the Steelers have probably made some of their own. Who really cares?

Do you think that we Ravens fans don't get tired of the all the stuff you guys say repeatedly?

Ok "Baltimore" is not the players.

Ok...they still have the easiest schedule

yeah I did know...but it still effects his mentality because it is still looming

So do you have a personal relationship with Ben or do you just really believe everything he says about it not effecting him? LOL Even Sportsman are human.

Yeah there are sooo many.

I guess we will just have to wait and see who is the better team THIS year.

Troll, I've been wanting to ask you why you are even on this board so much?
I am thinking you just like to stir up trouble?

It was the Ravens organization. Namely, Harbaugh.

So, you snidely remark how I have a personal relationship with Ben just AFTER you claim it still effects his mentallity and is looming. That is the definition of hypocracy.

" We'll just have to wait and see..." - The most sensible thing I've read by you thus far.

"Why am I here?"

Because I can be. Because I talk football without B&G colored glasses. You?
I don't start trouble, but I don't react well to it either.

I suggest you re-read the title of this thread carefully (including the small print - Although I don't consider myself a "troll").

Agreed. I could have said some stuff too, but came to the same conclusion.

You faced who you faced because you didn't win the division. That's how it is and you know it. Why is there always an excuse?????? The bottom line is that the Steelers beat who that had to in order to win it all. Happens every single year (even in 2000). I understand that you hate them, but geez, you can't take away what they've accomplished....especially by criticizing who we played and when we played them or where. That's kiddie crap IMO.

A lot of people will hate me for this, but I have to agree with you on all of that.

Fact of the matter is, 2008 is over and done with. The debate over the validity of the Steelers' path to the Super Bowl doesn't matter anymore because, bottom line, the Steelers won it all. If we're not happy with that, we have no one else to blame but every other team in the Steelers' path for not doing enough to stop them. It's like complaining about the Ed Hochuli call in the San Diego-Denver game last year; bottom line, it wouldn't have come down to that ONE call if either team had done enough earlier in the game to leave NO DOUBT as to the deserving winner.

Yes, the Steelers are Super Bowl Champions. Sucks for us, I know. But the easiest way to come to terms with it, is to accept the fact (as the Ravens certainly have) that the team should've done more to leave NO DOUBT as to what we believe the final outcome should've been. Making excuses for close games and all these scenarios is something that champions don't do -- and the Ravens certainly aren't making excuses for anything, so neither should we.

Another way to look at it is the injury example that we all like to us (myself included.) Fact is, a championship team is only as good as its depth, and the Ravens' depth was certainly outstanding to have advanced as far as they did last season despite having the second-most players on IR. So are the Ravens a good team? Are the Ravens a championship-caliber team? Yes -- even Steelers fans have to admit that. But did the Ravens win a championship last year? No -- and even Ravens fans can admit that.
This is most definitely not true and it is quite apparent in your posts. Anyone can see that you spread your steeler bias every post you put on this board in some way or another.

I am here because this is a board for those who love the Ravens. Thus if you are a fan of a rival team on this board, that technically makes you a troll. I know some people find it amusing but its nothing more than a pain to others. Obviously I include myself in that second group.

But carry on with your bias ways. It'd be interesting to saee how much you'd be on here if there was a repeat of the 2006 season. Oh right Ben had an accident.

One player that was not 100 percent.

Nothing in our Code of Conduct says you have to love the Ravens. In fact, fans of all teams are welcome as long as they abide by our rules. Many of our members enjoy interacting with fans of other teams.

Thank you Franny for being the voice of reason.
No one who really understands and appreciates the game could dare take anything away from what the Ravens accomplished last year. Especially considering the forecast of their performance at about this time last year. The Ravens have always been a tough opponent and it doesn't look to get any easier for us anytime soon. ...I personally wouldn't have it any other way.

With that said, I think you understand why I get ..."upset" when anyone tries to take away from what the Steelers accomplished.

We'll always hope for different outcomes and hate each others teams, but for me at least, the respect is there. I love this rivalry.

Cheers.

As to the afc north forecast. I see it as a clear Steel Curtain. with little chance of purple reign. The "D" will keep it close then Big Ben will do his 4th Q magic just like last night for the 20th time in 5 years. I wish the coaching would let Ben do no huddle all game like they let Brady do at the Pats. I will repeat what I said before, I see us playing the Ravens 3 times again. I won,t mind losing 1 as long as its not the last one. Unlike some folks, if the Ravens happened to beat us in the 3rd game I will root for them in the SB. PS The only time I ever rooted for the nfc was when the Patsies played the Giants.

This is priceless, we've got shaken steelers fans talking about "Go AFC North," only because they are off to a bad start and forgot how to talk trash with a losing record and they must be a part of something that wins because 90% of their fan base are bandwagon jumpers---------and then we've got BENGALS fans on here pounding their chests!

It is early still people.

Just a small reminder, please don't feed the trolls.

Already had to deal with a Bengal troll last night, and it makes more work for us if you guys respond to him since we have to remove your posts, too. Safe to say he won't be back for awhile...

But remember, just hit the Report button if you see a troll post and we'll be able to see it ASAP and deal with it much faster than having to sift through all these threads.

Show me a quote, any quote, about "Go AFC North" from a Steelers fan that's been posted since the season actually started. If you bothered to read the date on any of those posts, you'd notice that they came before the season started.

Here's my original quote in question:

"Fast Willie Parker is looking more and more like Pretty Quick Willie Parker with each passing season. Rashard Mendenhall provides talented, albeit inexperienced, depth should Parker go down, and will likely serve as the short yardage back. Last year's #1 defense will find it tough to repeat their gritty and under-appreciated performance of a year ago, putting more pressure on the offense than it can handle (Ben's fourth quarter heroics will need to work it's magic again for Pittsburgh)."

You asked for evidence to back that up. What better evidence than what has taken place on the field??

So far, I got that nailed down to a T. Every one of those observations have come to pass.

The season aint over yet homie? True! However, it will be over in 3 more losses. Especially losses to division rivals. The (Countdown) to determine the outcome of Steelers' season has officially begun. No disrespect bro! It's true though

This is cute:

"In two weeks, the Bengals get their shot at the bullies from Baltimore."

I guess PFT didn't get Harbs memo on the fact that the Ravens aren't "thugs." :P

Okay, since Peter King's predictions are all jacked up, I thought I'd be the "ying" to his (flawed) "yang".

Without further ado, I present to my purple brethren "The First Annual Fly AFC North Prediction Thread ( aka T.F.A.F.A.N.P.T.)"

1. Baltimore Ravens (13-3)

With the return of several key players from season ending injuries, and the infusion of new talent via free agency and the draft, this unit gets a fresh start on the road to Miami. The maturation of Flacco and Rice playing behind the league's best offensive line takes the Ravens to the next level.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5)

Fast Willie Parker is looking more and more like Pretty Quick Willie Parker with each passing season. Rashard Mendenhall provides talented, albeit inexperienced, depth should Parker go down, and will likely serve as the short yardage back. Last year's #1 defense will find it tough to repeat their gritty and under-appreciated performance of a year ago, putting more pressure on the offense than it can handle (Ben's fourth quarter heroics will need to work it's magic again for Pittsburgh).

3. Cincinnati Bengals (6-10)

The Bungles are considered by many to be 2009's surprise team. This Fly guy isn't on that train. Carson Palmer showed signs of decline before last year's disaster, and one of his favorite targets is now in Seattle (replaced by the explosive but very inconsistent Lavearneous Coles). A solid draft and the progression of several of their young defenders result in a couple upset victories this year, but little else.

4. Cleveland Browns (4-12)

Seriously, it's the Browns. They suck.
I really, really hate saying "I told you so," but after spending the last couple days on the Bungholes boards, I do hope that the Bungholes fans pay this thread a visit at the end of the year. There's a few things I'd like to say to them.
