Roster cut crunch time is a heartbeat away for many of the players who have laid their blood, sweat, tears and soul on the line for this team. I just want to say one last, "Thank you" to all of the players that don't make the cut, especially those that truly played like a Raven. Those players are appreciated and they have my respect.

I wish them all well in their careers and all aspects of their life. /salute

Will all the cuts happen tomorrow?
9/5/2009 this year.

Edit: They'll get tomorrow to review film and have some of the worst meetings of the year wherein the decisions on who to let go will be discussed. I imagine some of the players will be told tomorrow night - those that likely already know. The harder decisions might happen toward the end, but all of them will be made by a particular time on Saturday so other teams can start shopping.

I cant wait to shop around for a WR, I know Oz will. Theres a good chance we will find someone because theres good guys that get cut from teams whose starting WR's you cant even compete with

The Giants' Sinorice Moss, as well as any of the Saints' receivers (they have an extremely crowded receiving corps -- and it's not just Drew Brees making them look good.)

Thought you might find this interesting:
Posted by Mike Florio on September 1, 2009 4:01 PM ET

The Kansas City Chiefs, who signed veteran receiver Amani Toomer in the hopes that he would be able to help provide leadership and stability to a rebuilding team, have decided that they don't need him, after all.

The Chiefs released Toomer as part of the moves aimed at taking the roster from 80 to 75.

Also released were veteran defensive tackle Alphonso Boone and rookie tackle Cameron Golberg.

Receiver Devard Darling, whom we've reported likely has a torn ACL, was placed on injured reserve. Running back Kolby Smith remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list, knocking him out for at least six weeks of the regular season.

Toomer had spent his entire career with the Giants. He caught 48 passes for 580 yards and four touchdowns last season, during which he appeared in every regular-season game and started 12 of them.

For his career, Toomer has 668 receptions for 9,497 yards and 54 touchdowns.
Toomer would've been an OK option if Drew Bennett hadn't been signed (then retired) and Kelley Washington hadn't emerged as a viable receiving threat. Toomer is on the downside of his career anyway, so there's no point in having another veteran alongside Derrick Mason when Mark Clayton and Washington are the next veterans up when Mason retires.

Yea, with Mason there his leadership isn't needed.
But consider this: He could be signed on the cheap and as a 4th WR create a serious match-up issue when you guys need to convert or go long at the end of a game. Just a thought.

Hey Warden, you need to post the link from PFT and we aren't allowed to post any articles in their entirety.

Don't forget the usual pick-up place: Tennessee. :P

That is always a distinct possibility.
