Vick Is Back For Week 3.

I just watched him try to scramble and he tripped over himself and hit the ground.

That just made this whole waiting for the regular season thing worth it.

He went 7 of 11 for a whopping 26 yards, plus 1 interception. Looks like he's in mid season form already. :D

Yeah he didn't look very good. He got an easy goal-line sneak that any QB would have scored on.

I really don't see how he's going to help this offense, but it sure is fun to watch him fall down.

Wouldn't it be interesting if, after all the Vick drama, the Dungy intervention and the Goodell meetings, if he got released tomorrow?

I like the suspension. It works twofold; it appeases some of the protesters who think he hasn't been punished enough (though there'll still be plenty of critics), while it gives Vick ample time to get his mind right as he re-adjusts to life in the NFL. It's not as if he'll be a big contributor when he returns anyway, so the transition will continue to be gradual as he collects his paycheck and tries to pay off some of his financial debts.

I think the big thing for Goodell was not having Michael Vick be the focus of the premiere of the season. I completely agree with him, I'm tired of hearing about Vick and having the start of the season ruined by total Vick coverage pushing aside coverage of the other teams would have been awful.

Agreed. And let's be honest, the NFL doesn't need a non-football issue overshadowing what's supposed to be a throwback weekend. With the 50th anniversary of the AFL this season, the sport itself will (and should) be the main focus for the first couple of weeks. Anything involving Vick has always boiled down to matters outside of football. And frankly, that's the way it'll be for at least the rest of this season, and maybe into the next, tops.
