The team doesn't announce its hotel plans. I can't address what every player does for every away game, the several games that I have attended where I happened to be at the same hotel as the team, most players just stayed in the rooms or the hotel restaurant, not roaming around the town.

There are typically hundreds to thousands of Ravens fans who make the trip to San Diego. Check some of the Ravens Roosts or Ravens Nests sites. One group, from ravenstrips.com will be staying at The Westin Horton Plaza. Don't be surprised to see a lot of purple on Saturday prior to the game around the harbor, Old Town, and Coronado.

Don't forget the season closer in Oakland in January.

were you allowed to go in as well? talk to them or was it like blocked off from the public?

The hotel lobbies and restaurant are public places. No problem talking to a few players, coaches, media who wander down. That is, after the team bus drops them off and they enter via cordoned section from the public. However -- respect their privacy too. Don't hound them for autographs, or bug them if they are obviously not interested in you. Remember that they have an important job to perform the next day: win the game!

But if hanging out with players is what you want, the best place may be to hang out by the team bus, post-game. Especially after a big win.
