I dont see us breaking any records this year, at least on defense.

I think our sacks are going to jump back up; probably to around 50-52, but that's not even close to the sack record.

We're not going to set the INT record as long as Fox and Fabe are our starters.

The only offensive record I think we might get within sniffing distance of is giving up the least amount of sacks in a season.

If the Ravens win 7 games, Joe Flacco will tie the franchise record for most wins by a quarterback, and if we break even this year, he will surpass Boller's 20 wins.
If he manages to get a Pro-bowl nod, he will be the first Ravens qb to do so since Vinny Testaverde back in '96.

Ed Reed can extend his franchise record in interceptions

Ray Lewis is 5 picks away from the 30/30 club, isn't he?

Todd Heap has scored five 2 point conversions in his career. Only Terance Mathis (6) and Marshall Faulk (7) scored more 2-point conversions in an NFL career. Clearly he must be the franchise's leading 2 point converter, and he can extend that lead while picking up the second place spot in NFL history. If he gets 3 two-point conversions, he will be the all time leader in that category.

Edit: Ray Lewis is only 2 picks away from thirty picks.

I think Flacco will break many franchise passing records like most TD's in a season, most yards, completions, etc.

Wow, someone was doing her homework!

I can't, but at the same time CAN, believe Boller only had 20 wins.
So there ya go, we'll have a new franchise record set this year :)

Worth considering: Joe Flacco currently holds the highest win percentage of any Baltimore Ravens quarterback in the regular season at .688. The next closest was Steve McNair (.681).

Including the postseason it is:

1. Joe Flacco = .684
2. Steve McNair = .652
3. Tony Banks = .611
Or something in that ball park.

Several of these records are likely to change this season:

The regular season record is 107-100-1
Playoff record is 7-4
Super Bowl record is 1-0
Most wins in the regular season: 13 (2006)
Fewest wins in the regular season: 4 (1996)

Some of these are hard to believe, but head to head (regular season) we are:

Bears: 1-2
Bengals: 15-11
Browns: 13-7
Broncos: 3-3
Packers: 1-2
Colts: 2-6
Chiefs: 1-3
Vikings: 2-1
Patriots: 0-4
Raiders: 4-1
Steelers: 10-16
Chargers: 3-3
Lions: 1-1

If we can stop AP. Ed Reed will have 4 INT's that game vs. Minnesota
He would only tie the NFL record with 4. And he would be in with a lot of company. Someone needs to get 5 INTS in a game. Because this list is getting insane. Only two guys really from the modern era.

also yeah for Flacco to break franchise yards passing record he'd be throwing for over 4000 yards he can do it. Vinny had 4177 in 96.

I was just going to mention Vinny when another poster brought up passing yards. Flacco will break it at some point but no way he does it this season. I suspect he will do it in a few years after Ray and Ed retire and the offense has to carry more of the load.

wow looking at those stats makes me wonder how difficult are schedule really is this year.
One thing you have to consider is the fact that some of those stats came from the early years and the defense was, in Lewis's words "Terrible." That and the fact that some of those teams, like the Chiefs, were once like... good.
But you know the saying, "Any given Sunday."

Apparantly we are 5-8 (.385) on kickoff weekend, which seems to put us just above New Orleans (14-28 .333) and Seattle (also .333) and just below Tampa Bay (13-20 .384).
