I know it shouldn't be funny but I can't stop laughing at the facts that go with this.

1. He went down almost the EXACT same way as Brady
2. The Chiefs were the team to do that to Brady(Karma lol?)
3. McDaniels ruined his team for a kid who got injured 3 pre season games in.

Hopefully it isn't serious but I find it oddly strange how similar this is to the Pats situation a year ago.

Thigpen is a good dual threat QB on a non-existent offense. Cassell is an overpaid system QB.

Belicheck gets his payback... :P

It looks like Cassel will miss the opener vs. the Ravens, with a strained MCL.

I totally forgot that this injury now applies to us. Since we are slated to face Cassell during game 1.

We should really be able to pump up our team morale during this game. I wish this was a road game for us. Get a road game done against an easy team.

X-Rays came back negative, I believe. Should be fine for the opener.

False... they are saying he suffered a sprained MCL which they are estimating should take 2-4 weeks to recover. If you gave $63,000,000 to a guy, would you honestly put him up against OUR D if he wasn't 100% healthy? He's missing the Opener.

I smell a whooping for week 1 in the making!

Tyler Thigpen, and the 2-14 Chiefs (minus Tony Gonzalez), vs. the Ravens at home?

I think the Ravens' O and D may be ranked #1 after one week...

Saw on the espn ticker during the game tonight that the teams expects Cassell will be ready for week 1.Someone said it earlier but if you are paying this dude that much money do you really want to put him less than 100% against our defense?you may just lose him for the year.

I think he's faking it so he doesn't have to face us! :D
As bad as their O line has been playing, Thigpen would be the better choice. He's a lot more mobile than Cassel.

The Chiefs aren't even a good team, their "star" QB missing a game or two won't matter in the long run. I'm still not convinced Cassel is even a good QB, considering all the offensive weapons he had in New England.

I think Thigpen is the better QB here..... so we might not be as scotch free as people think..... and if cassel is faking.... he'll find himself back on the bench... again

Should be fine for the opener up to the point Ray Lewis comes right and the middle and POW...

Yeah I have to agree, I thought Thigpen deserved to start because of his experience starting and familarity with the offensive system. Then they go and bring in Matt Cassel, over pay him by alot and now he gets hurt. This isn't exactly Cassel becoming Brady of 08, as I believe Cassel had a fluke season like DA did in Cleveland. This is more of Cassel becoming DA of 2007. (minus the trade)

With Cassel sitting out for the first few weeks Tyler Thigpen could perform well(after they lose to us) and take the team to 2-1 or 3-1 or 4-1 depending on how many weeks Cassel misses and all of a sudden Thigpen could turn the equation to Thigpen 09 = Cassel 08. Meaning the Chiefs are stuck with that $63 million QB on the bench. I'm not saying that will happen but it could be a possibility.
