Ps Game 3 Ravens At Panthers

Man, Double-J's got a MOTOR...as much as I'd love to see Antwan Barnes or Paul Kruger on the field as a starter at OLB, I wouldn't bench Jarret Johnson just to get them on the field. Not yet, anyway. Guy's just too much of an old-school grinder on the outside.

The starters did leave us with a good warm and fuzzy feeling.

Oher had two big penalties. We'll chalk those up to rookie mistakes. One was at Left Tackle.

Kickers need to still aprove.

Defense looked spotty at times.

are cheerleaders are way better than the panthers
[/quote]

Yeah I believe they lost some of theirs because they were caught having sex in a public restroom or something. I mean, with a couple of guys, not each other...well maybe I don't know all the details.

Anyway, yeahhh, football.

Hmmm.. Williams playing with the backups... 4th receiver?

I think that speaks more to how much catching up he has to do than his official position on the depth chart. Keep in mind, he's still behind the curve because of his injury even in the offseason, so the more reps he can get, the better. As of right now, he's no real threat to be a starter, so if he can get reps now to compete more effectively for the #3 spot, then might as well get them now.

Smith to start? Anybody now? After Flacco's Performance.

And then it'll be brought up again next week even though the starters might not even see any action AT ALL. -_-

We sure are enjoying this check down/screen pass tonight! But hey, it's working - and opening up potential for deeper looks.

That's correct, with the handful of deep passes we've attempted tonight and almost completed coming to mind. The defense stays on its heels because they're afraid of our offense getting hit with the deep ball. Flacco's not gunshy about throwing deep, because he can always overthrow the pass with ease for a safe incompletion if it comes down to it.

Check down/screen pass is perfect for our personnel though. We've got speedy maneuverable backs, clutch receivers in Heap and Mason, and a fantastic running game to boot. I loved watching our offense tonight.

2nd team O-Line can't block anyone.

Our depth at OL isn't looking to good. Let's hope everyone stays healthy, unlike last year.

This is the second week in a row now where an opposing team's coach has kept his starters in as our backup defense has taken the field. Is it just a confidence thing, where they hope that their starters aren't so dysmal against our backups? Isn't even more demoralizing if they can't score on our backups???? I'm just sayin'.

(That Mark Sanchez TD to Leon Washington was bull, especially considering Jameel McClain SLIPPED before he got back up to try to defend the pass) -_-
