Which Raven...

61 posts in this topic

I saw an interesting poll on ESPN asking fans "Which quarterback would you want to grab a beer with?". Peyton Manning was the number 1 choice.

So it made me think, "What Baltimore Raven would I want to grab a beer with?"

Alas, I made this thread to see who everyone would choose and why.

I have taken shots with Tavares Gooden and Prescott Burgess at Mosiac but if I could grab a beer with any other Raven it would have to be Ed Reed. Just to pick his brain about stuff sitting at a bar would be the coolest thing in the world.

Joe Flacco. He's real down to Earth and humble, the type of person I can get along with. While I love them to death, I have to say I'd probably have a hard time getting along with most of the personalities on our football team. Not to say they aren't terrific guys though.

Ed Reed would be another good one.

I would have to agree on Joe Flacco, he doesn't seem like the flashy type so the event would be easier to enjoy. Otherwise I'd probably enjoy a drink with Mason.

Tom Zbikowski. he seems like the type that will do something crazy and random.

I would've said Bart Scott if he was still with us, he says dumb things when he's sober so maybe it would have the reverse effect? :P

Ed Reed.
I want to tell him the story of the time he helped humilitate my buddy redskins fan at the game last year.

No way Peyton. He would end up wearing the beer before too long.

Joe Flacco. C'mon now, Delaware's a party college. It was voted in Playboy's Top 25 party schools for a while, particularly in the late-90's, but that reputation has died down some with new alcohol regulations -- not that it's ever stopped anyone. ;)

But regardless, Flacco seems cool. Never met him (prob. bumped into him and never realized who he was despite his height), but he seems like the type to just be real chill and have a decent beer convo with.

Didn't you have a picture of him and yourself in your profile once upon a time?

I can't drink yet :) . But if I could have a conversation with any Raven, it would be:

1. Ed Reed. Reed is incredible, and I think he likes golf too, it would be my dream to play a round of golf with Ed Reed.

2. Ray Lewis. Nuff said.

3. Joe Flacco. Joe Cool, doesnt care and really laid back, kinda like me

Autograph signings don't count! lol. I meant, like, I've never met him in a social or casual situation. Yet, I've ironically met almost every other player on that 2007 Blue Hens team that went to the National Title game...strange.

Well I didn't know that's what it was. I can barely remember the thing. :P

I don't drink, but I'd want to meet

1. Ed Reed
2. Ray Lewis
3. Joe Flacco

Ed Reed. Too funny.
Derrick Mason seems like he'd be fun. Always joking around, but seems to have alot of class too.
Sam Koch. So that I may bow at his feet.

I don't drink either, but I would say Joe Flacco, or D-mase.
I thought of Haloti also, but he seems intimidating for some reason. I can picture Haloti just staring at me like .....scary!!

I am really surprised alot of you are saying the Joe Flacco. I just don't see him being very talkative or that his stories would be pretty boring. I mean Ed Reed's stories would put Chuck Norris to shame.

My favorite player is Ed Reed. So it would be just an awing expierence to be in his presence.

But I think the guy I would most feel comfortable around, and have good conversations with is D-Mase.

Nobody has Ray Lewis as their number 1 choice. Don't worry I'd be scared too. I feel like he just might slap me for saying something stupid.

Ed Reed would be cool but if I had to choose one, it'd be Kelly Gregg. You know Buddy Lee'd be good for a Natty Bo or two.

Hey now, Flacco has already said he plays Madden. He's competitive in it with his brothers.

I'm willing to bet that any one of us could probably beat him in Madden, though. I'd like to think his video game skills aren't all that sharp with how much time he's been devoting to studying the playbook.

The only way we'll beat any NFL players at football things would be in Madden. I can place kick though, that's something perhaps? lol
